During the experience you will have the opportunity to explore the picturesque hills and woods of the Sicani Mountains, to learn truffle hunting techniques accompanied by an expert truffle hunter and his trusted four-legged friend. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a dog trained in truffle hunting and discover the secrets of truffle harvesting and its properties. You will experience the feeling of finding an underground treasure in the earth and appreciate the bond between man and dog in the truffle hunt. Without forgetting the opportunity to admire the breathtaking views of the Sicani Mountains during the excursion. In short, you will have the opportunity to live an authentic and unique experience in the heart of Sicily

Very sympathetic guide and translator. An authentic experience in nature. One notices the passion of Angelo and his dogs, who are very happy to do their “work”. The result of the search we enjoyed the next day. It was a lot of fun.

Angelo and his dogs were great! We enjoyed the truffle hunt so much. We found five black truffles and had a nice picnic. The mountains were beautiful and it was such a unique and authentic experience.

Angelo and his two lagotto, Pesca and Rambo, with help from Kristine translating, made this the hands down best experience we had in Sicily. Friendly, informative, fun, and exciting! We would recommend this to everyone. We felt like we were hanging out with our friends. The picnic provided at the end was lovely, with food from Angelo’s farm. Next time we are in Sicily, we will be back to hunt truffles with Angelo and the dogs! Thank you again for one of the most gorgeous experiences we have had. Side note, the dogs are very good at finding truffles!! We were sent away with a bag full!

Angelo and his translator Christine were wonderful. They were very welcoming and knowledgeable about not only truffles but so many other things growing in the mountains of central Sicily!! We had a fantastic time and Angelo’s Dogs were very friendly and excited to do their job in finding truffles and we did find quite a few!!! I recommend him!!!

I went truffle hunting with my mom yesterday, and we're absolutely blown away. We learned so much and had so much fun. Angelo and his sweet dogs led us to the right spots and explained a lot, while Christine was so kind to translate and also told us so many interesting things. They made this course so easy to enjoy. The hike was incredibly beautiful, a great route with stunning views. And then the truffle finds were an absolutely fantastic experience. It's so much fun to watch the dogs searching and to see Angelo leap over with impressive speed to collect the truffles. You can feel the passion with which Angelo explains the plants, mushrooms, and truffles and works with the dogs. You can sense just as much enthusiasm from Christine, who not only translates but also knows a lot and lets you share in it. The information about truffles, how to store and prepare them was very informative, as was the information about other mushrooms, the forest, and other plants. The friendly and personable company, the dogs, the truffle finds, and the incredibly delicious food that rounded off the entire experience were simply perfect. Thank you so much for that! We were also recommended a fantastic restaurant at the end. We don't know when we'll be back yet, but when the time comes, we'll definitely take this course with Angelo again!

The location in the mountains was beautiful! Nice and cool during a summer morning. The dogs were amazing and were able to find truffles for us to retrieve. We learned a ton about where truffles grow and with a translator we learned about the local culture and lifestyle. The hiking was fun and so peaceful in the mountains. Angelo and Azzurra were fantastic hosts for the experience!!!

This was easily the highlight of our trip. Well worth the price, a wonderful day high in the mountains surrounding Cammarata. Angelo was kind, funny, and a pleasure to hike with. He and Kristin, the translator, make a wonderful team. The dogs were great and we did find a few truffles, even though it was kind of in between seasons. We had a small picnic of snacks midway through, and it was an incredible spread with some of Angelo's homemade honey. We have recommended to all of our friends and family who are planning trips to Palermo and will definitely book again when we get a chance to return.

Truffle hunting with Angelo, his dogs, and Kristin (our translator) was a memorable experience my partner and I will never forget. Angelo was so kind and fun and made us feel very comfortable. We got to hunt for truffles and learn all about the landscape of the Sicani Mountains. Angelo fed us the most amazing lunch including cheese and honey produced on his farm. Kristin was wonderful to chat with and answered all of our questions — we had a lot of them! This was an informative and joyous experience in a beautiful setting we will never forget. We highly recommend it if you have time to got to Cammarata when visiting Sicily.

Infinitely enjoyable experience. My sister and I were accompanied by Angelo on this beautiful experience to discover the Cammarata Nature Reserve, magical and alive paths, where nature is the main protagonist and silence is only interrupted by the rustle of the wind and the leaves of the trees falling on the ground. Angelo is an incredible guy, we laughed a lot and had fun from start to finish, he was an incredibly knowledgeable guide and a travel companion that everyone should have with them. We recommend this experience if you want to experience something unique. Thanks Angelo, you were precious, see you next time!
