Very well-curated tour from booking to the actual trip. Bamasy communicated consistently before, during, and after the tour. The airport pickup arranged by the owner of the company was greatly appreciated, especially after a long journey, and the information provided about the tour was excellent. He checked in every evening to ask how the day had gone and whether there were any issues. The tour began very early with a sunrise visit to the breathtaking Avenue of the Baobabs, which was absolutely out of this world. This was followed by a visit to Kirindy Forest, where we saw various lemurs — something I found very interesting. The journey then continued to Tsingy. Be prepared: the roads are unpaved and rough, making for a long and sometimes unpredictable drive, with occasional delays from 4x4 vehicles getting stuck in muddy conditions. My driver, Joseph, was excellent and handled the roads like a true professional. Crossing rivers by ferry also added to the adventure. Tsingy itself was such a pleasant surprise — unique, beautiful, and absolutely worth the long drive. I was initially worried about wearing a harness during the hike, but I adapted quickly and ended up enjoying some of the most scenic views of the trip. Hiking shoes are essential, as the hike involves climbing, squatting, squeezing through tight spaces, pulling yourself up, and plenty of walking — definitely a good workout. I would also recommend sunscreen, bug spray, sunglasses, and a power bank. You do not want your phone dying when you finally reach the best parts of the tour. The guide in Tsingy “Brown “, did a fantastic job. The canoe ride, caves, and sacred areas were amazing. Driving through the villages was also nostalgic for me, reminding me of childhood visits to my grandparents and the beauty of a simpler, slower pace of life. The two-night accommodation in Tsingy was appropriate for this type of adventure tour, and the restaurant serves all meals. There were a few communication challenges at the hotel, as most staff members do not speak English, and payments are cash only, with no credit cards accepted. The tour ended with a sunset visit to the Avenue of the Baobabs. My guide Fenitra was very knowledgeable, answered my many questions, and took fantastic photos. We had great conversations comparing cultures, and as a solo traveler, I genuinely felt like I was spending time with family. Overall, this was an excellent tour run by a caring and attentive company. I truly appreciated the thoughtful itinerary and the kindness shown by everyone throughout the experience. Bamasy, thank you so much for everything.

September 2025 Fantastic trip! All guides were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and the driver could have run the rally professionally - total control of the car. We felt safe and cared for all the way, and this experience was the highlight of our trip to Madagascar. Thank you to Nola, Bamasy, Liantsoa, Joseph, Tinova and Edilia for a fantastic trip! We were extra lucky and got to join Jean le rasta in Morondava to watch the boss play, who is also an incredibly talented musician. Check out Bamasyy and order a mix grill spider from Jean. Spend one day in the capital (with Nola (Jean's cousin) as the guide (+261 32 40 218 17)), and book this tour on. Flights on the island were rumored to be very unreliable, but our journey was without problems. Morondava is a fantastic friendly town, so it is recommended to spend a few days here, rather than in Antananarivo. Tip: Bring more cash than you think. Fortunately, we were able to borrow some from our guide, but payment cards are not used at all. The nearest bank is in Morondava.

Super positive experience, they followed us before departure answering our questions on whatsapp, they picked us up at the station and accompanied us to the hotel the night before the tour departure. The full tour, we visited the baobab avenue, tsingy park, lemur park and took a canoe ride. All with a 4x4 jeep indispensable for tackling off-road roads, a guide and a driver. Perfect tour if you want to see the spectacular scenery and enjoy the nature that the morandava area has to offer.

We feel so lucky to have found Bamasy of Madagascarbamtours. Bamasy was invaluable to our travel planning, always responding promptly on What’s App. Do to disrupted plans we arrived in Morondava almost a half a day late and in a stressed state. Bamasy had kept in contact during this time and organised for his driver Haja and guide Anatolin to collect us as soon as possible. The thoughtfulness and obvious competence and professionalism of these two lovely young men put us at ease and we were able to relax and enjoy the exciting road trip to Tsingy Park over challenging terrain as well as learn a lot about the local Malagasy culture from Anatolin. The Tsingy rock formations, the canoe trip to caves and a sacred burial site, the dry Kirindi forest and the avenue f Baobabs were each amazing and despite being late, our tour was tweaked so that we got to experience them all!! We were heartened to witness the easy relationship between Haja, Anatolin and the local children and adults, and we love the fact that Madagascarbamtours is run and staffed by local Malagasy people. This whole experience far exceeded our expectations.

This tour was an absolutely incredible experience. Even before we left Australia we soon realised that Bamasy was an incredibly professional, helpful and knowledgeable operator. We were very impressed with the promptness of his responses as well as his willingness to adjust our schedule so that we were completely satisfied. Due to no fault of Bamasay we arrived late. We were met by Anatolin, our amazing guide and Haja, our courteous and expert driver with an immaculate vehicle. The standard from the outset was incredibly high and this continued unwaveringly until the end of the tour and beyond. Everything ran like clockwork and our well-being was the focus the entire time. We learned so much about Madagascar and the places that we visited. It was impressive that all locals were treated with dignity and respect by Anatolin and Haja and on many occasions local people had input into the tour which added to its authenticity. I am widely travelled and this will always be my standout experience due to Bamasay, Anatolin and Haja. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

  • Unforgettable 3-Day Tsingy & Baobab Adventure

Booked the 3-day Tsingy & Baobab loop with Bamasi and they were on it from the start—WhatsApp replies in minutes, happily tweaked the itinerary for me, and even shifted the whole trip back a day when I asked at the last minute. Njara kept the 4×4 surprisingly smooth over potholes and river ferries, while Anatolin turned the drives into a crash course on Malagasy culture and daily life. Our flight landed late, but he juggled the timing so we never felt rushed, kept checking if we needed anything, and still pulled over at every great photo spot The lodges aren’t five-star—nothing in that region is—but they were clean, mosquito-netted, and blessed with hot showers every night. Dinner at the hotel featured a coconut fish stew I’m still dreaming about. Overall, if you want to see Madagascar’s two biggest bucket-list sights in a short time and don’t mind a bit of adventure, this tour is totally worth it.

An amazing tour to Tsingy de Bemahara with stop at the Baobabs to watch both sunrise and sunset. Bamas is the loveliest, most helpful person that really wanted to find a good tour that suited our time limits and budget. He also speaks excellent English, which is not too common here on Madagascar. I would really recommend Madagascarbamtours!
