What To Expect
This beach is famous because welcomes the kitesurfers during the winter, and the Loggerhead Turtles during the summer. In the winter season a lot of kitesurfers from all over the world come there to enjoy the waves and the strong wind. The summer season the crowed beach is replace by the Loggerhead Turtles who come here to lay the eggs
Serra Negra is the "Black mountain" located in the natural reserve of the east coast. At the base of the mountains there is one of the wildest beaches of Sal, which welcomes the Loggerhead Turtles during the summer

5.00We booked the Turtle walk tour before we’d even got to Boa Vista. Our family of 6 ranged from 17 to 60 years old. We were picked up from our hotel Rui touraegh at 8pm. The guides all welcomed us and we got into a Land Cruiser (Hendrick, Andrea and Jos were the guides, apologies if my spelling is wrong) and the adventure began on rough to say the least terrain. The drive was only about 20 minutes but it was exciting and a bit nerve wracking. After parking up we walked over the sand and rock to a clearing where we sat under the beautiful stars whilst Andrea gave us all information about the turtles. We were encouraged to ask questions whilst 2 guides went in search of turtles to see. It did take a long time before they had located 2. There was now a dilemma in that my husband was on sticks was really tired so whilst the rest of the party went to see a turtle laying its eggs. After resting and encouragement from Hendrick my husband made his way slowly to were he could see a turtle that hadn’t decided to lay eggs. My husband literally had to hold on to Hendrick from the beach and back to the car. He was so pleased to have seen one but without help from Hendrick it wouldn’t be possible. Eventually the rest of the party returned and we were treated to another ride/rally back to the hotel just before 11pm. We were advised beforehand to wear dark clothing and be quiet, no flash photography is allowed so photos and videos were possible due to red torches. We were fascinated to see the turtle laying her eggs before returning to the sea. Thanks to the No Limits team.

5.00We loved the experience of seeing the turtles on the beach at night! We watched the felling of a turtle, and to our great surprise, we also watched the exit of baby turtles from a nest! It was spectacular! The Guide Sara was fantastic ⁇ It was the best experience of our trip to Sal Island!

5.00It was a brutal experience. The Guide Sara is fantastic. He explained everything before we arrived, whether about the turtles or how we should behave on the spot, so as not to cause any embarrassment or damage to the animals. We were lucky to witness the desova, some turtles coming out of the sea to desove on the beach and see several born, coming out of the nest and entering the sea. I recommend visiting anyone who knows and works to protect this species. Thank you Sara for everything. It was a pleasure

5.00Once again the NO LIMITS ADVENTURE stunned us with the night hike in search of the caretta caretta turtles as they lay their eggs. Sara, very nice and at the same time very professional, accompanied us in this exciting adventure and allowed us to witness a spectacle of nature. We were able to get close to a turtle as it laid its eggs and we were even able to film. Not far from us moved other caretta caretta of various sizes, those looking for a place for their nest and those returning to sea after laying. We learned that the turtle while laying is like in a trance state and therefore approachable albeit with caution. Sara explained many curiosities about this animal and the difficulties in protecting the species. There is a conservation project and he invited us to adopt a remote turtle to support this activity of protecting and protecting the sea turtle of the island of Sal. Do not miss this experience and rely on this agency that has shown seriousness and reliability.
