This Extended Tour departs Nelspruit, Whiteriver or Hazyview in the morning and head toward the small Drakensberg mountain range to take in the stunning sights of Mac-Mac Falls, The Pinnacle,God’s Window, ,Lisbon Falls, Bourke’s Luck Potholes,Three Rondawels and the most awesome Blyde River Canyon. Lunch stop will be made in Graskop before we make our way to our Rest Camp in the Kruger National Park.
You will be welcomed by a Kruger Park Ranger who will take you on an afternoon or sunset game drive, a night will be spent in the kruger comfy beds in a hut. The following morning will be an early start, You will hop on an Open Safari Vehicle for your full day game drive.
The OPEN Game Viewing Vehicle give us the advantage of height and our knowledgeable guides will provide the answers to all your wildlife questions. We will seek out the vast variety of animal species that have made Kruger their home as well as the world famous Big Five!

You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning and Mac Mac will be your first stop. Your guide will explain history and facts about this waterfall

this is our second short stop on the panorama
Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve
You will take time to explore the 3rd deepest canyon in the world while your guide explains more about it.
Bourkes' Luck Potholes
a short walk will lead you to the most amazing potholes of the panorama
God's Window
Experience the highest point on the panorama. a 10 to 15 minutes walk up to the viewing point should be expected
The Pinnacle Rock
The pinnacle rock is a toll rock in the middle of the gorge. A short stop is scheduled
Graskop Gorge Lift Company
After lunch at Harries Pancake will make a short stop at Graskop Gorge to take a quick look before we make our way to Kruger National Park
Kruger National Park
We'll enter Numbi or Phabeni Gate for an afternoon game drive in the Kruger National Park before checking in at our Tented camp situated in the Kruger National Park.

4.001000/100 points for this tour company! Simply the best! Very accommodating, responsive and reasonable pricing. Our stay in Mpumalanga was simply smooth because of them. From the very attentive, responsive and dedicated owner who replied to all of my queries, down to their very didicated guides MyLord the Big Man, Roy the ever gentle guy and the other guide (sorry I forgot the name) who was equally knowledgeable in doing the game drive. We can’t thank this tour company enough for showing us the beauty of Mpumalanga and Kruger! Did everything with them the following activities/tour: Elephant Whispers Moholoholo Animal Rehabilitation Center Blyde River Cruise Panoramic Tour Shabalala Township Tour Overnight Stay and Game Drive in Kruger Airport pick-up and drop-off HIGLY RECOMMENDED! 5.00Awesome guide, Colin, was a delight from Nelspruit for activities along the way to Kruger National Park. Our night safari had a much different feel than our day safari. Guides especially Fiso were all we hoped for and helped us find more than 60 animal species. Worth the cost of the tour!

5.00Very good value way to maximise time at Kruger. Raher than wasting valuable time driving to and from Kruger, you get to stay inside the park in comfortable tents with proper beds, with electricity for charging phones etc. They cook you a delicious meal and set it up with a lot of ambience. It exceeded my expectations

5.00This was an excellent tour, and the tour company was VERY accommodating (see the end of this review). Highly recommended! We started from Hazyview Sun Resort at 7.30am, and toured Blyde River area, including Potholes, MacMac Falls and Three Rondawels. The day we went it was very overcast and foggy, but it was still very interesting and a lot to see. We were then taken into Kruger and to the 'Glamping' Tent where we stayed the night. The tent was great, with a bedside lamp and power inside, really good beds (I'm 6'8" and slept like a log) and a nice area outside to sit and relax. We then went ion the evening Game Tour from 4.30pm to 7.30pm. The first 2 hours were great, but didn't see a lot once it got dark and we used a spotlight - but still interesting. We then went back to the tent to find a beautiful meal laid out on white tablecloths and a nice bottle of red wine - just the perfect finish to a great day. The meal was really nice and the surroundings made us feel like we were experiencing 'the real Africa'. Overall, this first day was an awesome experience and we could have gone home happy. We were up at 5am the next day and set off at 5.30, for as full day in the Game Reserve. We had a continental breakfast prepared for us along the way and then kept going through the park. A few things that might be helpful: - The stay in the tent and the evening meal was excellent. Showers etc are all available and it really is 'Glamping' - you'll love this. - The second day of the tour was a bit long for us - we started at 5.30am and got back to our Hazyview Hotel at 4pm - a good day but a very long day and we would have been happy to come back around 11am. Having said that, we did see a Leopard just before coming back. Just be aware its a long day. - Overall, a really great way to see the Mountainous areas and Kruger in 2 days. The guides were great and if you ask questions, they are very forthcoming. Lastly - the tour company. Our group was meant to include 2 others, but they got very ill the night before thew tour and could not make it. The tour company worked with them and allowed them to come for the second day, then stay in the tent, and then organised a special morning tour! I thought this customer service was exceptional - they really worked hard to ensure that our friends got to experience the park and didn't lose their money. Things happen while travelling and seeing how they treated our friends was heartwarming. You will not be disappointed with this tour and absolutely 5 stars from us!

5.00Honestly one of the best experiences of my life. The route was fun and canyon beautiful, but the safaris were definitely the highlight. Roy was just incredible. He took us on the day safari and was everything you could ask for in a guide. Friendly, caring, informative and communicative to find every single thing we hoped to see, which was unbelievable !!! Including the big 5! The tents were adorable and cozy. Felt more like glamping. Muzi hosted a great dinner for us too to top off the evening. Do yourself a favour and book this!

5.00I did the 2days/1 night camping, Blyde Canyon & Kruger safari with Mbombela Tours in June, & I must say, it is by far one of the best safari experiences I’ve had. Netto, the co-owner of Mbombela Tours, along with my guides Muzi & Trevor made my safari experience one to remember. On my first day, I did the Blyde Canyon & Panorama Route tour with Netto as my driver/guide. It was such a beautiful drive to some of the most scenic places in South Africa. After my Panorama Route tour, I was dropped off inside Kruger NP for my overnight stay at Mbombela’s tented camp. Because it is camping, you can’t expect anything luxurious, but honestly, it was beyond what I expected. The tent I stayed in was spacious, with a comfy bed, as well as an electric blanket for the cold winter nights in the national park. Muzi showed me around camp, took care of me, & made sure I had everything I needed for a comfy stay. He is so personable & friendly, and it was a joy chatting with him during my stay. The next day, I did a full day game drive in Kruger with Trevor as my driver/guide, with Muzi joining us. Trevor is also very personable & is super knowledgeable about the park & the wildlife that I learned so much from him in just one day. For me, an excellent safari experience isn’t just about seeing as much wildlife as possible, but also how the guides interact with their guests. And my safari experience with Mbombela Tours was exceptional. I only wish I stayed longer, but nonetheless, I do hope to come back again & bring more people with me to experience an enjoyable safari with professional, knowledgeable, fun, & overall superb guides.

5.00First thank all the mbombela tour guides for the treatment they gave us, and especially Netto who has everything under control. The tours are not expensive for what you get and to us while being far away, they came to look for the hotel that is to be appreciated. After seeing other tour companies in the area, I can safely say that mbombela is one of the best and the Kruger guides are very good, thanks to them you see a lot of fauna. Thank you very much, 100% recommended.
