Madagascar Exotic
In this reserve, you will discover a variety of insect, reptile, amphibian, and batrachian species. You’ll enjoy observing colorful chameleons, tomato frogs, different types of geckos, bats, and many more fascinating creatures.
Vakona Private Reserve
In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to observe several species of lemurs on the Lemurs Island, including the Dancing lemur, the Bamboo lemur, the Brown lemur, the Black-and-white Ruffed Lemur and the Red Ruffed Lemur. The visit then continues to the crocodile farm, where you can take a pleasant walk and discover a variety of aquatic birds—many of them endemic—as well as other fascinating animals such as chameleons, leaf-tailed geckos, and tortoises.
V.O.I.M.M.A. Community Reserve
In the evening, accompanied by a local guide, you will take a walk through the forest of the V.O.I.M.M.A Community Reserve to observe nocturnal species such as lemurs, chameleons, frogs, and night birds.

In the morning, enjoy a guided hike through the national park to observe various species of diurnal lemurs in their natural habitat. Prepare to encounter the renowned Indri Indri—the largest living lemur species in the world. During the walk, you may also spot other remarkable wildlife, including brown lemurs, bamboo lemurs, the graceful Diademed Sifaka (often called the “dancing lemur”), as well as a variety of birds, frogs, and other fascinating creatures.

5.00My dad and I went for a 2 day tour with Cedric and Tojo. Tojo was an incredible driver navigating some pretty difficult traffic and Cedric was a brilliant tour guide! He really knows his stuff, both about the wildlife and Malagasy history. We learned so much and came away with new appreciation for Madagascar! We saw lots of animals at the wildlife reserve, the highlights being all the lemurs on lemur island and holding chameleons at the conservation centre! All the guides were lovely and knowledgeable and it’s clear they really care about the animals. On the second day we saw the Indri Indri in its natural habitat which was so exciting. My dad and I will definitely look back on this trip forever. Such a special experience!!

5.00We would really like to thank Stennie and Sarobidy for being an excellent guide and driver. Overall, it was a great tour and given that it was just me and my dad and we got our own private guides everywhere we went locally, it was decent value for money. We saw many different types of lemurs, crocodiles and other local animals. It was raining during the night walk, but that was to be expected. One caveat I would have liked to know: you can’t really see the most famous lemurs of Madagascar on this tour. They do have a pair on that one reserve but apparently they are really seen and they’re not in the national park since they’re not at home in Andasibe. Had I realized this before the trip, I might have made some different choices. That said the hotel was very nice, the car was comfortable, every single person we met was friendly and the roads were in surprisingly good condition. My dad is 71 and he was still able to do the walks, so travelers should expect some exertion but it’s not too bad.

5.00We did the two day tour with Cedric and Sarobidy. They were both excellent. Cedric was prompt to pick us up at our hotel! He was very knowledgeable and imformative. We had a great time seeing all the lemurs and chameleons as well as other animal’s. I would definitely recommend them here as private tour guides in Madagascar. They were wonderful.

5.00I had an amazing time on this trip. I got to see a lot of lemurs, both in the lemur park and in the wild. But the best part of the trip was my driver Jerry. We became friends almost instantly, and I had a great time riding with him. Highly recommend!

5.00We had such an amazing experience on this tour. We managed to see many species of lemurs, chameleons and other reptiles. We even got to hold some of the chameleons. The Vakona lodge is a lovely place to stay with an excellent room and stunning scenery. The tour guides were excellent on our stay. Thank you to Cedric and our driver Sarobidy! Would throughly recommend!

5.00I cannot express enough how fantastic this tour was! Rija, our guide was amazing and incredibly knowledgeable. The wildlife was breathtaking. I even asked about koba, a traditional Malagasy cake, and Rija was kind enough to drive us to a place that sells it so I could try it. I cannot recommend this tour enough, if you are in Antananarivo and have the opportunity to go on this tour, please do it!

5.00I went solo for the weekend, Rija organized everything in a few days before the trip and made herself reachable for the whole organization. Then for the weekend, Cedric was my guide and Sarodipy my driver, I recommend them 100%. They were always on time, listening and made me feel comfortable. Cedric accompanied me on all the tours and took the time to answer all my questions and taught me a lot of things (and all this in French)! I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel which was really quali. Thank you to them for a great weekend 😊
