You have the option of either arranging for hotel pickup or heading directly to the Udawalawe National Park gate, where you'll rendezvous with your dedicated guide. Once there, you'll board a robust 4x4 vehicle, specially designed for navigating the park's rugged terrain and providing unobstructed views of its wildlife.
Udawalawe National Park, one of Sri Lanka's expansive reserves, is renowned for its substantial population of Asian elephants, often seen in herds of up to 100. Beyond elephants, the park is home to a diverse array of animals, including jungle cats, fishing cats, gray hangers, toque macaques, foxes, bandicoots, mongooses, jackals, wild boars, and water buffalo, among others. Your guide will impart valuable insights about the park's wildlife and its delicate ecosystem throughout the excursion. 5.00We had a great tour with our guide Navee. Communication was great and he organized everything perfectly. We head a great ride and saw lots of animals - from birds to elephants to crocodiles - and Navee gave us great information on each of them. He was very friendly and drove very safely so that we felt very comfortable during our half day tour. I definitely recommend the safari with Navee :)

Navee had great knowledge about all animals and we could ask everything we wanted to - and he always had an answer! We recommend the Safari with Navee to everyone :)

5.00Great value for money, we paid a little more to have our guide Gimhana in the jeep with our group of 4 and it was well worth it. He was very knowledgeable and able to concentrate on spotting the wildlife whilst being driven. The jeep was comfortable, breakfast provided was great but the best bit was of course the animals and birds we saw. We were so lucky to see lots of elephants both in a herd but also individuals including a very large lone male and a tiny baby! We also saw mongoose, lizards, crocodiles and lots of different birds including beecatchers, kingfishers and hawks. It was a brilliant morning and Gimhana was an excellent guide. Thankyou!!
