In a word excellent. It went perfectly. We saw what we went to see and more. Our driver was terrific at spotting and, unlike some of the other jeeps on safari in Udawalawe, Dinuka stopped by a water hole for a morning tea and refreshment. We came away thoroughly impressed and have no hesitation recommending Dinuka Safari. The only criticism we make -they need a much larger sign stating the name of the Company in big bright letters. It was not easy finding the company name amongst all the other local operators standing at the gate when we disembarked the cruise ship and, of course if you happen to ask anyone, as we did, they just say "don't know". So, a very large brightly painted sign waving about at the port gate would help immensely. But that is our only criticism. The safari was well worth it and, we are so glad we booked it rather than booking a cruise ship shore excursion.

Dinuka Safari offered a comprehensive & thrilling jeep experience of the Udawalawe National Park followed by the Elephant transit home/orphanage. The cost was not prohibitive and worked out to be good value. Our driver was terrific and a great spotter. We saw more than we expected. We would recommend Dinuka Safari.

Normally it is a bit of a risk when booking something via TA, however this time it all went very smoothly. Communication up front was great with all questions answered very promptly and clearly. Pick up from the port gate was on time and transport to the Park was well organised. Even though the driver spoke very little English he was able to make himself understood. He was extremely attentive, polite and friendly, and made sure we were directed to all the correct gates for payment on entry (We used local currency.) The orphanage experience was so cute, but be advised to get there earlier (we arrived at 09.30 and it started at 10.30.) Hoards of other groups arrive later. We then went onto the park, short ride across the dam, and set about our safari ride. We were fortunate to have a very well spoken English speaking guide to accompany us in the jeep. (Many of the other touristds just sat in the back of their jeeps without any commentary on what wildlife they were seeing). Safari was not on the same level as an African one, as species in the park were limited, but there were some lovely sights. Overall extremely well organised. Travel time to the park approx 1 hour 20 mins each way, and a tasty packed lunch provided. Thank you

had a wonderful time at Udawalawe National Park Udawalawe is another great safari destination in Sri Lanka, known for its large herds of wild elephants and stunning natural beauty. It is often less crowded than for a more peaceful experience, it was great experience Did you get to see elephants up close? Udawalawe is famous for its elephant herds, and many visitors are lucky enough to see calves playing with each other or getting a drink from the park’s many waterholes. In addition to elephants, you may also see deer, crocodiles, and various bird species.

After booking via Tripadvisor, we was kept updated on WhatsApp from Dinuka Safari, which was very reassuring. After being transferred by air conditioned mini bus to the game reserve we then climbed into a six seater Toyota all terrain vehicle with our guide. We saw many elephants along with an array of birds foxes and deer, to mention a few. We stopped about halfway for a light lunch consisting of fruit freshly prepared by our driver on the tailgate of the vehicle, along with a lunch box that we had been given on our arrival. We took lots of photos and videos of a really memorable day in our (nearly) wild adventure. Well that’s another one ticked off the bucket list. We can highly recommend this trip.

We did on a safari tour to the Elephant Orphanage and Udawalawe National Park. We were able to see a lot of elephants in the forest. It was a very pristine environment. We saw a lot of elephants roaming freely. We also saw a lot of baby elephants inside the elephant orphanage. Sri Lanka is called a paradise of beauty because everywhere is filled with beautiful trees and leaves. We had a safari tour to see many beautiful places inside the Udawalawe National Park. It was a very good safari tour.
