  Unforgettable memories! The rafting experience was absolutely top-notch notch truly the best feeling ever. It was incredibly refreshing, with friendly, welcoming, and highly experienced guides. The jungle lunch was a delight, and sailing from the Rukungiri mountains all the way to Kanungu offered breathtaking views.   What an unforgettable two-day rafting adventure in Rukungiri! From start to finish, everything was organized to perfection and full of excitement. Our guides – Ashraf, John, and Juma – made the trip truly exceptional. Their professionalism, skill, and sense of fun created the perfect balance between adrenaline and safety.The first day was truly thrilling, packed with powerful rapids, teamwork, and pure adventure. Every rapid brought a new rush of energy, and the crew’s confidence made us feel completely at ease in the middle of the wild water.The second day slowed down a bit, allowing us to appreciate the breathtaking scenery that surrounded the river. Yet it was also the moment when the team’s professionalism truly shone. Just before reaching the finish line, we encountered a hippo in the water — an unforgettable moment that could have been risky, but the guides immediately took control of the situation. Thanks to their calmness and expertise, we safely continued over land to complete our journey.Ashraf, John, and Juma turned this trip into a flawless mix of adventure, nature, and trust.   We chose the overnight rafting tour (1 day raft + 1 night at camp + 1 day nature raft/float) and the experience has been the best one of our whole trip. Communication was easy and the trip was very professionally set-up. While waters were wild and exiting, we felt we were in very capable hands with the team! Arriving at our camping spots with tents & campfire & cold drinks ready was a pleasure, and floating through the community and queen Elisabeth national park the next day was a really nice change of setting - would recommend even more if you like birdwatching! Really has been one of the main highlights of our 3-week trip so far. Tip, bring a sweater for the camp, we did spend a long time at the fire ;).

  With our teenagers aged 15 and 14 this excursion done. Really super nice and the surroundings are beautiful! The kids found this the most fun activity we did on our trip through Uganda. The team is top notch: super friendly guys, very professional, helpful, etc! Lunch on the way was delicious too! Had some contact beforehand because the kids seemed a bit exciting at first, they responded very quickly. In short: don't miss this trip when you're in Uganda!

  What a day! We loved our experience rafting/kayaking with the Sana team – it was thrilling, beautiful, and truly an unforgettable adventure. I'd do it all again, and I'd recommend it to anyone (local or tourist). What I appreciated most were the personal touches. They prepared a fantastic hot lunch for us and provided fresh fruit, took care to make sure that we were all prepared for the rapids, and helped us learn about the region.

From start to finish, this experience was absolutely incredible. The views along the river are beyond stunning — think lush green landscapes, rolling hills, and a true sense of being deep in nature. It's the kind of beauty that takes your breath away and makes you feel completely alive. Whether you want an adrenaline ride or just looking for a fun, safe adventure with the family, this place hits the mark. The rapids gave us the perfect dose of excitement, but it was all handled so professionally that even the younger members of our group felt confident and had a blast. A huge shoutout to our guides John and Ashiraf — their good vibes, energy, and passion for what they do made the day even more special. They were not only knowledgeable and safety-conscious but also kept the whole group smiling and laughing throughout. This was hands down one of the highlights of our trip, and we’re already planning to come back. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Uganda — Sana Gorilla Rafting is a must-do!

  The most incredible experience for a great price! You can really tell that the team really does this work with all of their hearts, they not only enjoy rafting and going down the rivers themselves but they genuine care that everyone is having a great time! Our group was 4 people between 21-23 years old and we absolutely loved this experience as well as the team that joined us! (Juma, Ash, John & Singa Singa)

  The river and the surrounding area is absolutely gorgeous. The rafting itself is near nonstop action which is something that is hard to find elsewhere. Also, the scenery is just incredible. It's like a Disney jungle cruise but in real life. Sadat and his team are incredible professionals that make the scary looking rapids easily manageable. It's a thrilling trip down the river that is challenging enough to be action packed fun, but not too challenging to where you fall out or get hurt. We skipped a certain section of river because we wanted a gentler trip, but I'm sure more adventurous people would have a blast on that section. Sadat and his team are also extremely friendly, cool, guys that speak great English and are the kind of guys you want to hangout with for longer. They also took great photos of us. You can also bring your GoPro and they have a helmet that is compatible with GoPro. The local people were very friendly and waved to us as we floated by and it was cool to see their farms and communities up close the few times we passed them. It seems like this whole area is soon going to be transformed into an sportsmen's paradise so it was an incredible opportunity to do something before it becomes too popular although, I sincerely hope this becomes a top reason for visiting Uganda as it rightfully should be!
