  Me and my 2 brothers went for my dads 70th birthday. 2 of us were beginners and 2 were novices. We had Nathan as a teacher who was brilliant and got a fantastic competition at the end! Would 100% recommend

  We spent a whole morning in our group of 3. We started with clay pigeon shooting with Nathan who was a great instructor. He was so helpful and amazing how quickly he helped us improve. We then spent the rest of the morning knife throwing and axe throwing. Again Nathan’s skill and patience was amazing. Great fun and we’ll be back soon.

  We went to Polowood on Thursday 31 July for a multi activity day out and had a fantastic day out despite the awful weather! The staff were terrific and went out of their way to help my 90yo mum when she needed a hand or a lift between places. The activities were close together so not far to walk between them, were well organised with friendly experienced trainers and a lot of fun! My son, grandson and I had a go at axe throwing, knife throwing, archery and mum had a try with us at clay pigeon shooting then proceeded to beat us all on the air rifle range! The multi activity package is a great way to try out activities and makes it a great day out. Free tea and coffee but need to take a picnic as don't offer food, which frankly is fair as they are so busy with everything else! It is quieter during the week as they get very booked up at weekends. They also have lighter bows, knives and rifles for those who find the main ones too heavy and you can pay to do each activity separately if you don't fancy the multi activity package.   I took my team to Polowood yesterday for part of our Summer Bash. We spent 4 hours there on the taster day so had a go (an hour each) at Archery, Air Rifle target shooting, Clay Pigeon shooting and Axe throwing. The team are total cross section of people and all loved every part of it. The Polowood people were absolute fantatsic. So cuteous and accomodating. The tutors were simply brilliant taking their time with each of our varying abilities. This is both a cracking day out and a very professional outfit - can't recommend enough. Well done Polowood and see you soon as my family and I intend to return for a family day out.

  The views there was lovely seeing over the fields and being by the woodlands. The staff was absolutely lovely with each activity. I went there on a second date and we had the greatest fun and nice friendly competition. We did the 4 experience pack includes archery, axe throwing, clay shooting and airsoft shooting all an hour long. They briefed us on safety, also gave us advice on how to get a better shot. Definitely worth the money and will be going back. Thank you, Ethan, Ollie, Pete and the other instructor at the clay shooting that I didn't get his name off.   I visited as part of a stag do and we had the clay pigeon shooting, air rifles, axe & knife throwing and archery. The whole day was brilliant and I will definitely be back again soon. The staff were all friendly and genuinely interested in making you get the hang of each activity the facilities were great and I genuinely couldn’t fault anything about the day. Thanks to the team and I will be spreading the word about what a great place you have there.

  Excellent team, experienced and very friendly. Good value. We had a great time and look forward to doing it again soon. I had thought 4 hours would be too long but the time flew past.

  Such a fun experience for a first time shooter and an experienced shooter, catering for different difficulties. Would definitely go again, the staff were really helpful and friendly. • Perfect introduction to clay shooting

  We attended as complete beginners having never fired a gun before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. We were greeted by friendly and approachable staff who created a welcoming environment for novices, patiently showing us how to safely operate the weaponry and get the best out of the session. The site is well run and organised and we had plenty of time at each station to get a feel for the various techniques we were being introduced to. There were some much more experienced members there too who were very friendly and happy to offer tips and advice to us. I highly recommend Polowood to anyone curious about clay shooting. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will certainly be visiting again!

  The staff at Polowood were fantastic. Very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We tried all four activities for an hour each. The day was very well organised and well run. I felt safe even when using live rounds in the shotguns which were always loaded by the staff members. I would highly recommend
