Internationally acclaimed artist Bruce Munro is noted for his immersive site-specific installations that employ light to evoke emotional response, often in an outdoor context and on a monumental scale. His Field of Light, inspired by a trip to Uluru over 30 years ago, is installed in a remote desert area within sight of majestic Uluru. It is his largest installation to date, with Munro and his team installing more than 50,000 slender stems crowned with radiant frosted glass spheres. It is truly a magical sight to behold.

Great experience in the morning but colder than expected. Great driver and guide. Make sure you dress appropriately.

Breath taking views off the light and reflection of colours in the sky, highly recommend this to everyone who visits Uluṟu. This was value for money.

The sunrise was nice but not as nice as the sunsets and the fields of lights are much less spectacular than in the pictures. It's a big plastic installation.

We had the exhibit completely to ourself, which I don't know is always the case, so we may have gotten a little lucky. We were advised that the morning tours seem to be quieter than the evening ones. So, if you were wanting to checkout the Field of Light, and you can do it, try to shoot for the morning. Felt like a very exclusive and private experience. There was a wonderful viewing area, and the sunrise was beautiful. I had done a sunset tour the evening before, and it was lovely, but it was busy. If you want to get a once-in-a-lifetime view of Uluru (and Kata Tjuta) without the crowds, this is the way to do it.

This was a beautiful site to see, and I’m glad I got up early to do it. We had a small group and had plenty of time to see the lights from several different areas. The sunrise was a great time to get photos of Ayers rock.
