What To Expect
Church of St. Apostles Peter and Paul
It is the oldest church in Serbia. It is the place where the father of Serbian state was batized as well as his sons. This church is where the history of the Balkan region was decided. Beneath it is the treasure of an older monument dating from 5 century BC.
Djurdjevi Stupovi Monastery
One of the first monasteries in this region, magnificent in its architectural design, unique to its time and place. This monastery is more than 8 hundred years old and has many interesting stories connected to it.

5.00I went on an individual UNESCO tour with Ecco Tours in December 2022. With Armin-my guide - we visited the sites mentioned in the tour + Durdevi Stupovi monastery.In my opinion any trip to Serbia is incomplete if you don´t visit this area (the birth place of Medieval Serbia) & go on this tour Armin was very organized & informative, & he spoke very good English. Moreover, he provided many useful insights, not only about the places that we visited , but also about the history & geopolitics of the Novi Pazar Sandjak area, Serbia & ex-Yugoslavia as a whole. . He also provided me with useful logistics information about how to go to the Novi Pazar Old Spa (A must !) & also suggested very good restaurants where I tried traditional food. Highly recommended !
