Your guide's knowledge of the Amish is extensive and the access you will get is the result of our personal relationships with the Amish families.

What To Expect

Strasburg

Stop at the farm where the Academy Award winning movie "Witness" was filmed. You will have a chance to tour the beautiful Amish farm which remains much as it was in the movie, interact with their many animals and possibly meet the wonderful Amish family who owns the farm. This is a completely private stop and not available to the public. We will stop at a private and beautiful Amish home, where the kids make birdhouses. Witness Amish craftsmanship up close in the artisan stable and barn - and purchase a birdhouse if you like.

We really enjoyed our tour, The tour guide had incredible knowledge and personal relationships with the Amish community. He also shared great knowledge of the area outside of the Amish community. I would highly recommend this tour, it was a great experience.

The tour was seamless. Dale is well-informed and knew exactly what he wanted us to learn. We don’t know how he remembers all of that information! We could not dream of a more interested and energetic tour guide. We already signed up for another tour from the same company. Highly recommend!

The Amish tour was one of the best tours that I have been on. Our guide Dale was extremely helpful with history and knowledge of the Lancaster area, that included the beginning from when the Amish came to America, to their every day present living, culture. We were lucky enough to visit working farms, see schools, hear about culture, and even had homemade ice cream from jersey cows milk. I highly recommend this tour, the 3 hours went way too fast.

Our tour guide, Dale, was very knowledgeable about the Amish and the history of the area. He is a native of the area and a retired History teacher. The countryside is so beautiful and the homes and properties are remarkable.

We had an exclusive tour with Moses as a family today and we are absolutely thrilled. Moses is extremely competent and it is just joy to listen to him. We felt like we could really immerse ourselves in Amish society. It was also possible to talk directly to the people. Partly even in German, which was an absolutely exciting feeling. Those we were allowed to talk to were really nice and very child-friendly. It was also possible to stroke the small dogs extensively right at the first stop, which made my smallest daughter and I very happy. The ice cream mentioned in the description was a really big portion and simply phenomenal in taste. We didn't expect that. Thanks again to Moses for a super great, very educational and entertaining trip. Cheers Christian and family

We spent a lovely afternoon with Moses, learning so much about the Amish culture. He welcomed our questions and shared much from his years of living in the area. I would highly recommend this fun and educational tour! And as a bonus, the ice cream was amazing!
