Admittedly, we were slightly skeptical at first. Mostly due to the cost. But WOW! It is worth every penny and more! Our guide was terrific and gave us a thorough history and showed us all the little details of how the canyon came to be, etc. very much worth your time!

This was definitely an experience worth having. I sadly forgot the name of our host but he was great. I want to say his name was Jason but I could be wrong. But this was an amazing site to see. So much history and information about the Canyon that I would've never guessed. I won't spoil anything here about it but if you're thinking about going definitely go for it. And when you're done you can also visit Page & the Horseshoe Bend which are all a very short driving distance apart. If you're staying in the city OMG the drive up to this location is breath taking. I'll also add this note for my fellow camera people - Go with a wide lens especially if you have a crop sensor. 24mm or Lower is ideal. You wont be able to bring your camera bag but your Mirrorless Camera or DSLR camera's are welcomed. I ready some 3rd party review and it had me worried I couldn't bring it but Navajo people are amazing and I look forward to returning again.

Mike, our guide was great but we almost cancelled tour before it started because of the EXTREMELY UNFRIENDLY staff at check in. So rude. We felt so unwelcome. No one greeted us, they just looked annoyed that we were there. I would recommend the hike but with a different company. One that appreciates your business.

Upper Antelope Canyon is absolutely breathtaking — even during the snow storm when we visited. The scenery alone deserves five stars. Unfortunately, our tour guide was not very friendly. He mentioned he would help set up phones for pictures, but when we asked, he ignored us and kept talking. During the entire tour, he only took one family picture. We had tipped him upfront, so this was disappointing. The canyon is stunning and worth visiting, but better customer service would have made the experience perfect.

Overall I had a great experience at the actual canyon itself. The tour guide was great, he knew where all the iconic photo spots were, where and how to angle your camera to take specific shots, and the guide happily took photos for anyone when asked. He was a cheerful, friendly and sociable guy and I remember that well. My friend and I paid for the premium timeslot hoping to get the direct from above sunlight but unfortunately it was a somewhat cloudy day. However, I realized this too late but the thing is, you may pay for the premium timeslot assuming that is the best time, but the angle of the sun changes throughout the year. So I actually think it's a bit of false advertising because on the day my friend and I went, even without the overcast, the sun wasn't directly above us at that time of day anyways... So it's actually better to research ahead of time to find out EXACTLY what time the sun will be directly above on the day you plan on going and then booking the timeslot according to that (An easy AI bot question that can be answered these days). The other complaint I have is similar to what many other reviews have said... rude and unfriendly staff at the check-in/ parking area for starters. However, what probably annoyed me the most though was the fact that we came early as they very specifically stated in the email snippet below: "...everyone must be checked in at our office at 10:30am. That is our required 30-minute check-in policy. Our tour buses depart from our office at 10:45am to be at the canyon at 11:05am." Well that is great but we didn't LEAVE TILL AROUND 12:30pm! We came 30 min early and literally stood around waiting for 2h before being seated in the tour van with our guide. That is a complete disrespect of peoples time and I didn't like that at all. In summary, the tour, the guide and the canyon itself were phenomenal, but everything prior to the experience starting was not great. The 2h wait alone is enough reason for me to suggest trying a different tour company which is a shame because the guide was great.

Whilst this does seem expensive, it is a do not miss experience. There were a lot of people at the meeting point but we were dealt with efficiently and distributed to various vehicles. The vehicles all looked in good condition and enclosed - we noticed some other tours had open air vehicles which would have meant a face full of sand on the journey through the dry valley of sand to the canyon. Our guide was respectful of everyone, including those slightly less able, and never rushed us, although there is always another group in front of you and one behind (so the push comes from behind). Clearly they have a good system re the pace of progression through the canyon. It is not very long, so there is no need for a fast pace, and there was plenty of time to admire and take photos. Indeed our guide knew how to take the best photos and took many on our behalf. He also had a lot of knowledge. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. We booked for the 11.45am tour in order to get the best light, and indeed our guide confirmed independently that around the middle of the day when the sun it at it's highest is the best time re light within the canyon (being a slot canyon this makes sense). He said if you want the absolute best light you need to visit in the height of summer when it is very hot outside, but cooler in the canyon (you'll be glad of those air conditioned vehicles then!). You are only allowed to take a phone / camera. No bag, however, small.

Hi guys, these spectacular formations inside the canyon will take you to another level, your imagination will wake up, our tour guy Brandon was an expert about everything to want to know about the Canyon and Tha Navajo Reservation. I highly recommend it 👌. The West of USA is beautiful.

I wouldn’t recommend doing this after 1 PM during non-summer months, as limited daylight makes it difficult to appreciate the stunning canyon formations.

This tour was a big disappointment to all members of our family. It was very crowded, it felt rushed. Our guide Christen was very quiet and just mentioned a few times that we were passing a “good place to take pictures”. When we tried to join the other groups to overhear their guides storytelling, we were yelled at to stay with our group (not by Christen but by some other organizers walking around). A very angry lady at the end of the canyon yelled at our group too, something about the attitude, and none of us could figure out what we (or other members of the group) did wrong. Every one of the organizers looked stressed and unhappy. It wasn’t an enjoyable tour. It definitely wasn’t worth $$$ paid.
