It is the oldest university in Scandinavia, today it groups several museums; the most interesting, for me, is the Gustavianum which is divided into 3 floors. On the ground floor, there is the room dedicated to the Vikings with several well-preserved memorabilia; on the first floor, many rooms related to Egyptian civilization and those born around the Mediterranean. It's a real leap into the past; the shop windows display well-made vases and furnishings, jewelry, rudimentary weapons, sarcophagi, even of children and miniature reproductions of boats and scenes of family life. On the opposite side, are the history rooms of the university and sciences. Here, fans of the subject, will find the first medical instruments used for the dissection of bodies, the briefcase of opticians, telescopes, microscopes, the original table of plant classification made by Linnaeus. Also worth seeing is the collection and art gallery from the Middle Ages to the Habsburg dynasty and that of coins. On the top floor, just below the dome, is the theater of Anatomy, with a rudimentary table in the center and all around, on different levels, the places from which students, standing, witnessed the dissection of bodies.
