I visited the Dominican Monastery (Black friar) as part of the combined ticket (Hidden Valletta) with the Catherine Monastery. This review is about the Dominican monastery. I really liked that, the exhibition is not too big but still has exciting details to offer e.g. the monastery treasure and information about the history. And the church of the monastery is very magnificent and visually impressive, it is definitely worth a visit. An entertaining stay, so about 30 minutes as part of a city tour of Valletta, is perfect here. And the combination ticket was really cheap at €13.

The museum part, chambers, paintings, artefacts & church itself are exquisite & well laid-out. The atmosphere is peaceful & the staff are friendly & helpful. We bought the double ticket for Mysterium Fidei also, which is also fascinating & well organized.

Tour guide was very passionate to explain and walk us through the history of the Dominican past events and artifacts. Made me more proud to have been baptised in Porto Salvo church Valletta.
