Our Hostesses will welcome you, showing you our amazing menu in the Patio before they get seated by visually impaired servers in 100% darkness dining room.

What To Expect
It is required to make a RESERVATION for day and time before coming through the restaurant website. Travelers will take part in a unique Dining in the Dark experience at Dark Table Restaurant. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by your hostess and guided by Blind servers into a completely dark dining room where all sense of sight is removed. Once seated, guests enjoy a surprise or chosen three -course meal inspired by Italian and Canadian cuisine. In case they choose a surprise meal, the menu remains unknown until the dishes are served, encouraging diners to rely on their other senses,taste, smell, touch, and sound to fully experience the food in a new and memorable way. Blind servers assist guests safely, offering guidance and warm hospitality. Guests may enjoy surprise cocktails, wine, beer, or non-alcoholic beverages, enhancing the sensory journey. This experience is not just about food; it is about connection, awareness, and discovering flavors and emotions beyond sight. The dinner typically lasts around 90 minutes, leaving guests with a deeper appreciation of sensory dining and the world of the visually impaired.

5.00This was so much fun! The it works is this: You order your entree and drink before you enter the restaurant. The appetizer and dessert are a surprise. The entree options are steak, chicken, fish, mushroom parmesan risotto, or a surpise dinner. I chose the risotto, I figured that would be the easiest to eat in the dark. The table next to me chose the steak. It was cut up for them. They have three different appetilzers and desserts which are rotated so there won't be spoilers from the neighboring tables. The servers are visually disabled and they will take you to your table and make sure you are as comfortable as you can be in pitch black. The table is quite large. It was the length of my arms, shoulder to finger tips. I wanted to make sure I didn't shove my drink off the table while still keeping it out of the way of my plate. I would 100% do this again. The only issue is that the reservation with Viator or Trip Advisor doesn't notify them that there is a reservation. They were still able to take me in though. You are buying a voucher only and you are still responsible for the remainder of the bill. If that was mentioned in the details of the, I missed it. So my recommendation that you call the resaurant and let them know you made a reservation. Or just reserve a table on their website. You'll be paying the same amount no matter what. This is a restaurant like any other as far as business practices go. The experience just bumps it up a notch. I do recommend that you try this out. I loved it. So interesting and my server made sure I was comfortable and checked on me often.
