St Peter’s Basilica & Sistine Chapel are subject to last-minute closures for religious ceremonies. When this occurs, we're happy to offer customers an extended tour of the Vatican Museums. While we endeavour to tell tour groups ahead of time if there are any planned disruptions to the Basilica's opening hours, this is not always possible and in these cases we are unable to provide refunds or discounts.
On Wednesday mornings, access to St. Peter’s Basilica is not included due to the Papal Audience. Entry is only possible after 1:00 PM.
St Peter's Basilica is not accessible on the express tours options
Please be advised that access to St. Peter's Basilica will not be guaranteed unless the names of all participants in the booking are provided in advance. This requirement is essential for security and the Venue organizational purposes. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable visit.
Please note that if you choose the “St. Peter's Basilica Tour Only” option, access to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel will not be included.

5.00Guided 3 hrs tour with Amy in Feb 26. To Vatican museums, sistine Chapel and the Basilica. It was busy so it is well worth getting skip the line in guided tours, we saved hours! February is off season so it would be far busier at other times. We had group of c 20 with headsets and Amy did great job of keeping us together and narrating the tour. She was funny, personable and as an art historian, really knowledgeable about the museums collections. 3 hours is a real fly-by tour, but a great introduction.

5.00We took our tour just a few hours ago and couldn’t wait to get home to share how wonderful it was. The team was incredibly helpful from the very start, making sure we knew exactly where to go, introducing us to our guide, and getting us into the museum as quickly as possible despite the long lines. Our guide, Christian Savona, was absolutely fantastic. You could immediately tell how much he loves what he does—he was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and insightful. The earphones were comfortable, and we could understand him clearly the entire time, which made a huge difference. We truly don’t believe we would have learned even half as much without this tour and Christian as our guide. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and we would 100% do it again just to keep learning and seeing more!
