St Peter’s Basilica & Sistine Chapel are subject to last-minute closures for religious ceremonies. When this occurs, we're happy to offer customers an extended tour of the Vatican Museums. While we endeavour to tell tour groups ahead of time if there are any planned disruptions to the Basilica's opening hours, this is not always possible and in these cases we are unable to provide refunds or discounts.
On Wednesday mornings, access to St. Peter’s Basilica is not included due to the Papal Audience. Entry is only possible after 1:00 PM.
St Peter's Basilica is not accessible on the express tours options
Please be advised that access to St. Peter's Basilica will not be guaranteed unless the names of all participants in the booking are provided in advance. This requirement is essential for security and the Venue organizational purposes. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable visit.
Please note that if you choose the “St. Peter's Basilica Tour Only” option, access to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel will not be included.

5.00We had a wonderful time on our tour with Alessandra today. She was extremely welcoming and informative and managed to learn the names of everyone in our group of 20 people! The tour was conducted seamlessly, and being on a guided tour meant we could skip many of the queues or go through alternative entrances. The Sistine Chapel was breathtaking as was St Peter's Basilica, real highlights of the day.

3.00I thought the guide was well informed. He told us all about what we were looking at. My reasoning for only giving a 3 is he lacked personality. He had his script memorized and gave all the facts. Unlike other tours we did, this guide lacked passion or excitement about it. There was no chance to interact with him and ask questions because of how tight his script was

5.00We had a fantastic tour of the Vatican museums , Sistine chapel & St Peter’s with our Italian guide Nikolai ..not sure about spelling! He had a great sense of humour and delivered the tour in a really light hearted way.He was extremely knowledgeable (archaeologist) about everything we saw and the time flew by.I would be reluctant to visit here without a guide as the collection is so vast and so much to see.This is well worth the money and a must do when visiting Rome.Meeting point is very easy to find ..no problems at all!
