The museum displays cover a good 5 miles / 7 kilometers however and it’s said that if you were to dedicate just one minute to each exhibit it would take 12 years to see the whole collection! Join our tour to follow a selective route covering the most significant events in the history of the Vatican and taking in key exhibits such as Sistine Chapel, the Gallery of the Maps, the Gallery of Tapestries, the Gallery of Candelabras, the Pinecone Courtyard and other. Hear the fascinating story of the state of the Holy See, where the conclave is held to elect a new pope and the meaning of the name of the head of the Vatican. Discover the history and distinguishing features of works by Italian geniuses Raphael, Pinturicchio, Perugino and Botticelli, among others; the meaning of the divine frescoes by Michelangelo "Separation of Light from Darkness", "Creation of the Sun, Moon and Plants", "Separation of Land and Water” and "Creation of Fish and Birds".
Sistine Chapel
Sistine Chapel - Michelangelo's celebrated masterpiece, and part of the cultural deposit for all mankind. The ceiling of the chapel portrays the creation of Adam and includes paintings of the Last Judgment while wall frescoes depict the life of Moses and Christ.

Worst guided tour experience ever

1.00Terrible experience! I’m not the kind of person who complains of everything or without a very good reason. But my experience in Vaticano was tbe worst I’ve ever had. The guide was in hurry since the meeting point. He didn’t explain how was going to be the flow, didn’t ask where people were from and nothing else. The whole tour was walking at a pace of almost running. No stops for pictures at all. But the worst point was that he spoke so so so fast, that if you missed one word, you were gone. I did try to ask for a slower speaking and at this point he showed himself uncomfortable and finally made the question of where the people from the group were from. We all answered and nothing changed. He immediately kept talking at Spotify speed 3.0 without ever asking of we were following him. Above, I mentioned facts. But apart from that, he had some atitudes that made us feel some sort of xenofoby against latins. Shame. By the way: I work in American companies for over 20 Years and English is Never a problem to me, so, my conclusion is that even of he spoke in my native language, the tour would have been unproductive in terms of Learning and totally unplesant. I can’t remember his name, but tour was on May,15th at 8:15am.

5.00Brilliant way to see St Peter's Basilica & the Sistine Chapel, without the queues. The guides took us right through the line-up without having to wait. The commentary by Francesca was fresh and interesting. Our party of 2 was late, but Franceska welcomed us when we caught up with the rest of the group. We saw so much, and then had the opportunity to go back and see more in further detail. A great tour of a landmark attraction.

Our guide, Ekaterina, was fantastic — you can immediately tell that she has deep knowledge and truly loves what she does.
