Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute
Santa Maria della Salute (or Salute Church or simply La Salute) is a basilica in Venice erected in the area of Punta della Dogana, from where it stands out in the panorama of St. Mark's Basin and the Grand Canal. Designed by Baldassare Longhena with attention to Palladio's models, it is one of the best expressions of Venetian Baroque architecture. Its construction represents an ex voto to the Madonna by Venetians for deliverance from the Plague that decimated the population between 1630 and 1631. The cult became so deeply rooted in Venice that the Virgin Mary was added to the list of patron saints of the city of Venice.
Abbazia di San Giorgio Maggiore
The Island of San Giorgio Maggiore is a small island, located opposite St. Mark's Square in Venice. Separated from the island of Giudecca by the small canale della Grazia, it is also washed by the Giudecca Canal, the San Marco Basin, the San Marco Canal, and, to the south, the lagoon; it is part of the sestiere of San Marco.

We loved our guide who was very knowledgeable and fun! The water was very choppy and it was very windy, but we felt completely safe in our Venetian boat.

This is a great open air experience to see Venice from unique perspectives. The glasses of prosecco and informative guide made it an awesome tour. Leonardo was literally 11/10. So much energy, enthusiasm and knowledge.
