Your adventure begins at the Lamb House Restaurant in Donja Jablanica, where your guide will meet you and go over the plan. You'll start by kayaking across Grabovica Lake (formed by Neretva river) — a calm, emerald-green mountain lake. The paddle takes about 20 minutes, with the rocky face of Mount Prenj growing larger ahead of you. At the far shore, your guide fits you with a harness, helmet, and Via Ferrata lanyard system, then walks you through a hands-on safety briefing: how to clip and unclip at each anchor point, how to position your body, and what to expect. Prior experience is advised. The climb follows steel cables, iron rungs, and ladders bolted into the cliff face of Prenjska Vrata — "The Gate of Prenj." You move at your own pace, always clipped in, with your guide beside you. As you gain elevation, the views open up: Grabovičko Lake below, the Neretva Canyon cutting through the valley, and the Mnt. Prenj and Čvrsnica in every direction. At the top, take photos and soak in a panorama most visitors to Bosnia and Herzegovina never see. Your guide points out the surrounding peaks before you descend to the viewpoint and back to the parking.
