The Boma Dinner provides guests with an authentic taste of Africa and an opportunity to learn about the local culture. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed with a traditional greeting and a performance of drumming and dancing. The menu includes various African dishes such as warthog fillet and Mopani worms, all cooked using traditional methods and local ingredients. In addition to the food, there are live performances showcasing the traditional dance and music of various Zimbabwean tribes, giving guests a chance to interact with the local community and learn a few phrases in the local language. We pick up from Hotels within Victoria Falls town, if clients staying outside Victoria Falls town an extra fee will be charged for transfers and if staying in Livingstone Zambia an extra fee will be charged for transfers accordingly to the pickup point.

The whole experience is great from being scared to death by the welcome from a warrior, to dressing up and entering to African music. The dinner buffet is fantastic with the meat being cooked over a open fire as well as cooked on the buffet line. The welcome is so warm. The show is fantastic and we all get to join in with your own drum. You won't easily forget the experience.

Great show but food was not hot despite being there when the food has just come out. Chicken was very small portions and dry. Not enough offerings for non-meat eaters, ie fish etc

There were dancers and drummers and plenty of food. I tried impala and lean. Meat was a bit tough, stir fry vegetables were a bit undercooked. Their was audience participation playing the drums.

Even though I stayed in Livingston Zambia, Africa Travel Tours made all the necessary arrangements for me to attend the Boma Dinner in Zimbabwe. A driver took me to the border and assisted with the Zimbabwe immigration formalities and handed me off to another driver in Zimbabwe. He waited for me at the border until the end of the show and drove me back to the hotel. The show itself was lots of fun and the food was excellent.

No question this is a 100% tourist trap… but it’s a great way to spend the evening. You’re greeted by African dancers and dressed up complete with welcome face paint. The show itself is quite short but once finished, there’s a lot of audience participation with the drums. There’s a wide selection of mainstream food and all you can eat buffet. Great atmosphere and authentically decorated. A few side shows such as fortune telling, etc to while away the night and some vendors selling paintings, etc. Super busy so book in advance.
