  All guided tours in Vienna take you more or less to the same places and tell you more all less the same stories with the same boring style. We think we had enough this time!

  We could not find the meeting point so easily, so we were delayed and had to catch up later on the way. The guide gave recommendations but in general he was talking about battles and other info that we would forget in a day, it was unnecessary. We prefer a more modern approach when visiting places.

  This tour took us to several hidden gems but it was a bit too much for my taste. Can feel overloaded for a first time visitor. Think twice before you book.

  We were lucky enough to be bad with the 2 of us in the tour. So basically a private guide. Vell fun facts about life in Vienna in early times. How people lived in this beautiful city back then. Despite the hustle and bustle of the many tourists, they soon walked into the back streets where many memories of Vienna's history can still be found. Everything is very clear to follow English.   My friend and I joined Herbert on this very informative and fun tour this afternoon. The tour started on time, and he was easy to find in a very busy location. He will point out buildings and streets and other landmarks that you would never have noticed without his knowledge. He definitely took us in back alleys and streets that we wouldn't have found ourselves. Herbert is the guy to give you ins and outs of Vienna. He knew so much and was also able to give us recommendations along the way for out-of-the-way dining experiences, coffee shops, and other lesser-known sites to visit. We learned so much, and Herbert has a great way of interacting with his guests. This was our second tour in two days with Herbert, and I wish we were staying longer to take his other ones. Adult groups and older teens will love this.

  Herbert is an excellent guide who did, indeed, show us many interesting secrets, backyards and mysterious locations. He corrected various pieces of false or incomplete information that we'd seen online, and pointed out a lot of items we never would have noticed or understood on our own. For instance, watch for concrete pillars at the corners of buildings—they served as bumpers to keep carriages from hitting the buildings. Herbert honored our tour reservation even though it was only the two of us, which we really appreciated. His tour was very enjoyable, and we learned a lot.

Herbert is not only incredibly professional, but also has an impressive knowledge of the history of Vienna, which he conveys with a lot of humor and enthusiasm. We especially loved the fact that he led us through Vienna on secret routes – off the beaten track. So we discovered places we would never have found on our own! He also gave us plenty of exciting tips and information for many other sights – perfect for getting to know Vienna even better. A huge thank you, dear Herbert!
