Wat Si Saket

Wat Si Saket is the oldest temple in Vientiane, Laos, built in 1818 by King Anouvong. It is renowned for its Siamese-style architecture and its thousands of Buddha images housed in niches along the cloister walls. The temple survived the Siamese invasion in 1828, making it one of the few ancient structures remaining in the city. Wat Si Saket is a peaceful and culturally rich site, attracting both worshippers and tourists interested in Lao history and architecture.
