The drop-offs commence after the tour duration (you pay for a 8-hour tour and pick-up and drop-off).
Hotel guests will get a pick up time 1-2 days before the tour date.
Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund. THE MINIMUM NUMBER IS 3 PERSONS. We hold the right to cancel a tour if the number is below 3 persons for all tour reservations combined.

What To Expect
See Viking runestones and hear their messages. They tell us about the family who lived by the site. Learn about Estrid, a Viking woman that might have travelled to Jerusalem. Learn about Viking burial customs, Old Norse language and the excavations at the site.
Jarlabanke Runestones
See and walk upon a reconstructed Viking causeway bridge. Learn about the braggy Viking lord who built it about a thousand years ago. Get an understanding for how power was divided in the Viking society and what different social groups lives looked like.

5.00Olaf gave us a thoughtful and interesting tour of the cities and their history. We appreciated how he gave us an accurate historical picture, but also related it to current day. We enjoyed our day and learned a lot. Olaf was easy to travel with, and we enjoyed spending the day with him.

4.00Gabriel was very informative. He gave us a lot of details about the area and the history. The tour itself was quite nice. I think the cost is a little too high. Gabriel is a good tour guide. My only complaint is that sometimes it felt as if we were in school.

5.00If you are looking for outstanding tours focused on Swedish history — including Viking history — look no further than Sweden History Tours. My husband and I spent three incredible days on bespoke tours checking out fantastic runestones in and around Stockholm and Uppsala with guides Jonathan Olsson and Moa Rahlander and expert driver Christian. Both Jonathan and Moa are very knowledgeable, highly professional and great fun! Both can identify the hand or style of particular runestone carvers and can read the inscriptions on the stones, which provide insight into the contexts and functions associated with raising runestones. I worked closely with Jonathan in planning our three days of 5- to 8- hour tours, which took us to church yards, museums, farm lands, forests, and roadsides to see loads of runestones with a variety of inscriptions and styles. Jonathan was very responsive via email, text and WhatsApp as we planned our outings. My husband and I look forward to a return visit to Sweden to embark on more adventures (including Stockholm and Uppsala city tours) with Jonathan and his wonderful colleagues.
