Please note that this tour is only available up to 60 days in advance, due to the nature of the tickets. We recommend booking early to avoid disappointment!
Saint Peter’s Basilica is subject to last-minute closures for religious ceremonies. When this occurs, we're happy to offer customers an extended tour of the Vatican Museums. While we endeavour to tell tour groups ahead of time if there are any planned disruptions to the Basilica's opening hours, this is not always possible and in these cases we are unable to provide refunds or discounts.
On Wednesdays, due to the Papal Audiences, access to St Peter's Basilica is not possible in the morning.
* Please note all participant names and date of birth are required at the time of booking in order to join this tour. If we do not receive this information, we will cancel the booking. Every customer is required to carry a valid ID that matches the name on the ticket, or an entry will be refused. Name changes are not permitted once the booking is confirmed.
* Please be advised that this tour option is non-refundable, with no cancellations or date changes allowed due to pre-purchased tickets. It is mandatory to bring a valid ID or Passport for security checks, and entry will not be granted without proper documentation.
A dress code is required to enter to the museums. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women.

5.00When we arrived at the Vatican City and saw the enormous queues, we knew we'd done the right thing by booking an organised tour! Fortunately, our guide Francesco ensured a quick and smooth entrance for us and the others in our group. We enjoyed a very pleasant breakfast in the courtyard, followed by a well-paced and informative tour through the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St Peter's Basilica. If you would prefer to linger and savour every single fresco and piece of art, then this kind of tour probably isn't for you, but we felt that we saw enough of significance in the time we had available (and we appreciated being able to remain and continue taking in St Peter's Basilica once the official tour had ended). Without Francesco and his expert guiding, I feel it may have been a little overwhelming trying to negotiate the many rooms and halls (and the sheer number of visitors) by ourselves, so we were very thankful for him!

4.00Despite the fact that our tour guide was EXCELLENT, the tour did not live up to its description. Breakfast was cold, unappetizing, and very disorganized. The Sistine Chapel is always awe inspiring, but it was far more crowded than advertised, very loud due to restoration work at one end of the chapel, and anything but meditative given the constant chorus of guards roaring that pictures were not permitted. Our talented, informative and delightful guide saved the day.
