Taroudant is located in the Souss valley. It reflects an excellent impression of southern Morocco. The charm of its souks, and its ancient history makes it a little jewel.
Upon arrival we visit the old Pasha's Palace, then continue the walk to the Medina till arriving at Assarag Square; a meeting place for the natives coming from the neighboring villages and the dwellers of the town.
After the visit we continue to Tiout; located 20 mn away. A magnificent palm grove extending between several villages. On top of the hill; the kasbah of Tiout offers a stunning panoramic view with a contrast of both green and barren land. The best way to visit the palm grove is by hiring a donkey, an enjoyable way to help the locals and the economy of the village. Lunch on-site: Berber menu with very refined, delicious dishes. The trip back to Agadir will be through a different route for a change of scenery.

Mohammed is a very good guide. He speaks very good German. He showed us real sights that not everyone sees. We were on the road for about 9 hours and didn't get bored for a moment. The typical food was very good. We could stop at sights (goat trees, camels etc) which no bus can do. Conclusion: We didn't regret a minute.

We visited Taroudant and Tiout on September 24, 2025. My spouse and I loved our visit. We had Houcine as driver and we had a good comfortable and air-conditioned vehicle. This activity lasts all day. The visit to Taroudant was great, lots of history and culture. We also made a stop in Tiout and visited the surrounding area then went to have lunch (included) in a beautiful building on top of a mountain. The food was very good (chicken tagine). What we especially appreciate is that Houcine made stops to allow us to take nice pictures of the beautiful landscapes of Morocco. I recommend this activity!

We have already been to Agadir for the third time and have each had Mohamed aks guide. What should I tell you....Mohamed knows perfect German, is always in a good mood, very reliable and leads you to corners which are still absolute insider tips and not yet developed touristically. So if you want to see the largest and probably also oldest hive in the world or even an ancient granary in Inoumar is in the best hands on best ride tours. Looking forward to the next excursions with Mohamed

What a beautiful day! A superb visit with Rachid who speaks super good French. We visited a typical Moroccan village. All beautiful memories on our way. You just have to plan a little change in dirham to make the markets, the small atypical shops.

Our guide Houcine from Best Ride Tours was very friendly. He spoke good German and showed us goats living on trees on the way to Taroudant and toured an orange farm with us. In Taroudant he took us for a walk through the old town, the souk and in the market square we had an excellent coffee. Then we took the carriage back to our car, a VW bus. In Tiout we had lunch in the wedding house and a walk through the valley of palm trees. Afterwards he showed us the most beautiful spots of Agadir, took us to the Kasbah and took us back to the ship. Houcine had a very good driving style and we had a very relaxed day with many different impressions. We would book this tour again and again.

We have selected the short version "Excursion from Agadir to Taroudant (Culture and Discovery - half day) so without going to Tiout, for 80€ for 2 people. Serious Agency, Check-out on Pension Time and content of the excursion almost respecting the description because it still deserves a short-term update. The "pause at Salaam Palace; old palace of the "Pacha" of Taroudant and its region" is replaced by a stop at a former Riad turned Pension. The palace in question had been converted into Pension/Riad but it is now completely closed hence the replacement which remains interesting and allows to enjoy a mint tea, coffee or even an orange juice in the patio. Likewise, the free time granted on Place Assarag must depend on the season, in August and around noon, little activity due to the heat, we spent only a few minutes before diving back into the meanders of the Souk and joining the vehicle for the return. For the most unlisted, on the way to Taroudannt, we made a short stop to take a photo of a goat in a tree, in a resort that also offers a small free visit to the orange grove, the opportunity to have a drink. In Taroudannt, interesting visit to an antique dealer in the Souk. Special mention for the Driver/Guide with good reviews and a suitable route in the Medina and Souk. We recommend this half day for those who do not wish to go to Tiout.

Driver Rahid kind and so funny. The souk in Taroudant is very large and allows you to take a dip. In Tiout we were able to enjoy a great Tajine Couscous meal at Kasba and then explore the magnificent Oasis on the back of a donkey. The guide Abdallah really made us appreciate this moment. We recommend.

Very nice day in the company of our guide Hassane, first overview of Taroudant and its medina by mini bus, then we go down to go to the souk, full of colors. Also visit to buy, if you want, products made from argan, in cooperatives. Then direction Tiout, a small typical Berber village, lunch in a restaurant which overlooks the village and its palm grove, tagine and couscous. Then visit the palm grove for about 1 hour with a 2nd guide Ahmid, very kind and with a very good sense of humor, a cool passage in the gardens where the inhabitants come to rest, very friendly and typical. We spent a very beautiful day in the company of our 2 guides, excursion to do, we discover the real Morocco! :) Thank you again for your kindness.
