What To Expect
El Santuario De Las Guacamayas
Once you meet your guide we will travel 45 minutes south into the mountains, we will arrive at the macaw conservation area. You will see and enjoy beautiful mountains panoramic views This is one of the only places in Mexico where you can observe these birds in the wild. You will receive a talk about the efforts being made to protect these bird species, and once you have learned about them, we will begin walking along the trails through the forest to observe these birds in their natural environment and flying freely. We will also visit a viewpoint where you will have beautiful views of the mountains. Once we finish the hike and observation, we will take transportation back to Puerto Vallarta.

5.00Beautiful activity, Edouardo our guide is excellent. We can see how dedicated Francisco is to the cause. We were lent binoculars, but our experience would be more enjoyable with our own binoculars.

5.00It was a fun excursion and it did not start until 8 am. Most other bird tours start at 6 am. Ugh! Our tour guy Eddie was great.

5.00Easy short tour in nearby mountains, with a hours walk in the jungle spotting macaws and other wildlife. My guide taught me all about the species and the conservation program . Very friendly too.
