The experience has been great. Daniel was born and raised in Lalibela and knows perfectly every corner and every church, which are amazing. Lalibela is a special place, culturally and historically very interesting. In the mountain hicking we could see a more rural life and fantastic views of Lilabela, ending at Ashton Maryam Monastery. Thank you very much Daniel for your kindness.

I have no words to describe the experience Daniel made us live... From the guide who was waiting for us to the invitation to his own family home to eat and drink the typical Ethiopian coffee so delicious. I take care of every detail and keep highlighting how flexible it always was with the prices and plans that were adapted to the whole family and every moment. If you hesitate when we return we will count on you again Daniel!! And of course with our dear Solomon....an endearing man full of wisdom...🙏🏼 THANK YOU 🫶🏽💚💛❤️

I highly recommend Dan as a guide for visiting Lalibela! My partner and I spent three days exploring this incredible place with him, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we met him, we felt completely safe and well-cared for. Since Dan lives locally and knows the terrain inside out, his expertise was evident in every step of our journey. His professionalism shone through in the way he naturally adjusted his pace to match ours, making even the hike up the mountain feel pleasant despite the altitude. He guided us through the fascinating tunnels that connect the different churches and shared his deep knowledge of the site at every turn. What made the experience truly special, however, was his personal connection to Lalibela. Learning that one of his relatives is actually a priest at one of the incredible rock-hewn churches added a unique and emotional layer to our visit. An unforgettable experience!

We recently spent three incredible days in Lalibela with Dan, and I cannot recommend him enough. His knowledge of the rock-hewn churches is exceptional; he provided deep insights into both the religious and archaeological history and was able to answer all my questions. Beyond the churches, Dan led us on a fantastic hike to a nearby hill that offered a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. We also enjoyed the opportunity to briefly attend a mass at Bete Medhane Alem, which was an authentic cultural experience. Dan’s local expertise and professionalism were greatly appreciated, I would strongly recommend him if you are looking for a guide in Lalibela.

From planning months ago, Daniel was so helpful and quick to respond. I felt confident that he would take care of me the best he could. From arrival to Lalibela airport to drop off back at Lalibela airport, the experience was wonderful. The information about the history of the churches was precise without overbaring, so I feel like I could enjoy the sights and yet have enough information to understand. Going to the Sunday morning mass was more than expected. Growing up with church myself, I can definitely admire that mass. Daniel also gave me some alone time to walk around a little just to have a solo experience that I crave. Absolutely thankful for Daniel's care. I hope Daniel will help me with other experience for different parts of Ethiopia. He also arranged a half day tour for Addis Ababa for me.

FEGEGITA ETHIOPIA TOURS arrange a good guide for us, with good English that an Asian can easily understand. We can communicate with the guide if there are any questions. The introduction of the history of Lallibella is clear and can raise our interest in it. Also, the guide from FEGEGITA ETHIOPIA TOURS growth in Lalibella, so he can explain more about the life in Ethiopia.

We spent 9 wonderful days in Ethiopia. Daniel and his professional team guided us through some of the most iconic destinations in the area, from the historical and cultural treasures of Lalibela, the Abune Yemeta Guh and Abune Abreham churches, to the stunning landscapes of the Danakil Depression. Everything was perfectly organized: our needs were always taken into consideration, and Daniel stayed in touch with us, even during the days when we were guided by his colleagues. Although we spent only three days and two nights in Tigray, particularly in the Gheralta region, we highly recommend visiting it with Are, Daniel's local partner. Are's deep humanity is a valuable lens through which to understand the complexities of Ethiopian society. In summary, we highly recommend this entire trip!
