Sazan Island
To discover the wonders of the historic and mysterious Sazan Island, you will need a boat that BoatVentours with its qualified staff will be happy to provide. The tour will start from the city center of Vlora (Hotel Bologna), heading towards the island of Sazan with comfortable and brand new boats/inflatable boats from the year of production 2022 (50 minutes of navigation). Once you arrive on the island, our staff will guide you through the old city on top of the mountain and explain the mysterious and fascinating history that this island carried on during the dark period of the communist regime in Albania. There will be many beautiful photo opportunities that our staff will capture for you. For those who don't feel like walking, you can relax on the island's beach where the sea, intertwined with the sun's rays, will offer you priceless relaxation. To beat the heat, we will have cool drinks on board.
Our adventure begins at 9:00 am, as we set sail towards the cave of the Balkans' most famous pirate, Haxhi Ali. The journey to the cave takes around 30-40 minutes and, upon our arrival, we are greeted by the promise of mystery and excitement. Inside, we spend about 40 minutes immersed in history and nature, where we uncork a bottle of prosecco for a symbolic toast to our health and to immortalize beautiful moments through our lenses. The cave invites us to swim, explore and marvel at its extraordinary natural beauty

- Review from Tripadvisor
We lost a day's vacation on this pointless excursion. We were received by Aldo, who according to the reviews is a great accompanist, we said nice. But he was content to dispatch people in different speed boats to put the most people (we had to be 15, we were more than 25.). A tip, whichever company the ticket is purchased, choose the best fare because in the end it is the same excursion. We paid 35€, others 30€ but others 50€. Music throughout, Stop 20 minutes in Sazan, it is ridiculously short to swim, the beach is crowded, then, direction of the cave Axhli Ali, no swimming allowed contrary to what we were told. 10 minutes in for photos, then direction Karaburun, I hoped to discover the coast but we were landed on a beach for 3 hours ( phew, it could have been 4h), a crazy world, deckchairs and umbrellas as far as the eye can see. The water is not crystal clear as in the pictures, it is all cloudy, do not look for fish with mask and snorkel. We paid 1500 leks for 1 umbrella and 2 deckchairs because 3 hours in the sun is impossible. I was so bored that I walked to the left and after 20 minutes I came across another quieter, shaded cove but the water was no clearer. At least there wasn’t the sound of all those tour boats from the main beach. Suffice to say that at 4:30pm, there were no latecomers, we were all eager to leave. The funny thing was when the arrival coach pulled out lots of cards with QR Code for writing “good reviews”, many people felt obliged to put 5 stars when they were quite disappointed. In short, it was more about wasting time than money that disappointed us.
