What To Expect

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Walk across ancient lava fields, feel the heat rising from active steam vents, and stand at the rim of the powerful Kīlauea crater. Your guide shares the legends of Pele, the volcano goddess, and explains how the Big Island continues to grow every year.

Punalu'u Black Sand Beach

See one of Hawai‘i’s most famous black sand beaches, formed by cooled lava fragments. Keep an eye out for resting honu (sea turtles) along the shoreline as you stroll, take photos, and enjoy the striking contrast of black sand against blue water.

Sue was an awesome tour guide! She knew so much about Hilo and the surrounding area on the Big Island. She was fun to be with and showed us a lot of sites, including Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Rainbow Falls, humongous Banyan trees, Waipio Valley, and Laupahoehoe. She also recommended a DELICIOUS lobster club sandwich at the Coconut Grill. Our family of five enjoyed our day with her and the relaxed, fun tour.

Dee was our tour guide she was fantastic! She loves her Island and you can tell. Fun, Educating, Funny, Treated everyone like Ohana = Family. She shared so much about the Island and herself that you felt like it was a family member taking you around for the day even tho there were 10 people in the van. She took us to the volcano, coffee and candy store, donut shop for Masala's, honey shop, black sand beach, lava tube and feed us. It was truly a full day! She was so fantastic, I wish we lived on the same island because I think we'd be fast and long life friends 🤗
