Discover the incredible oasis of Wadi Shab - one of the last places in Oman where you can chill in fresh blue water surrounded by mountains.
Start the tour with pick up from your hotel in Muscat or meeting point (depending on the selected option). Hop into an air-conditioned vehicle and set off on a 2-hour scenic drive through the otherworldly landscapes of Oman. Along the route, stop at a local coffee shop to try an energizing Omani tea. When you arrive at your destination, hidden away in the canyon of the dry river Wadi-Shab, take a very quick boat ride to the other side of the bank. From here, embark on your 40-minute hike. During the walk, experience the awesome power of nature which has forged the rock formations of this impressive canyon.
On the way back, stop to see a beautiful lake located in the Bimmah Sinkhole. Finally, return to the vehicle and begin the drive back to Muscat where you will be dropped off at your hotel or meeting point (depending on the selected option).

The visit to the Wadi was very enjoyable and worthwhile. The hike to the wadi is mostly walking over pebbles and stones and so you do need good walking shoes or comfortable trainers. When you do reach the wadi it can be busy but not too much that you cannot get in. We hired life jackets and it made the swim easier and less tiring. However, if you are a strong swimmer then you don’t need one. Several people in our group hired one but then left them because they felt they could get a better swim. Wet shoes are recommended as you do continue to go over stones and over large slippery boulders which are in the water. Going to the cave is the main part of the swim and getting there is exciting. Then onto the sinkhole - and if you can jump in then have a swim. Again I would recommend wet shoes as there is a stones and boulders waterline. Overall a great day with fantastic guide - Omar who looked after everyone and made sure they were safe.

It was exactly as explained. We could enjoy swimming in Wadi Shaab water for a long time, enjoying the cool water and the beautiful nature. Said, our guide, was extremely kind and gentle

The hike was beautiful, slightly hard due to the path being rugged, but Omar the guide made sure everyone was ok and was always alert, actually, he held the hand of the oldest lady in our group the entire time to ensure she could make it through! Great man. At the end of the 45 minute hike to the swimming area, you will need to swim/ walk on pebbles and rocks for 15 minutes to reach a cave that has a waterfall. Again, Omar acted as a defacto life guard and ensured everyone was safe in our group and others. Life jacket recommend to make it more relaxing, water shoes recommended if you don't have feet of steel like Omar, who also carried 8kg of water for everyone the whole way. You will get great pictures and memories on the way through Wadi Shab.

Mohammed was an absolutely fantastic guide in Wadi Shab. From start to finish, he was full of laughter and humour, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. He took his time throughout the trail and always made health and safety his top priority, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and well looked after. The trip itself was amazing overall, and the hike isn’t too difficult, making it suitable for most people. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Oman — especially if you’re lucky enough to have Mohammed as your guide. He truly made the day unforgettable.

What a fun experience! The sightseeing tour was well organized and our guide Abdurahman made it really special. He was very kind, took his time and shared a lot of interesting facts. We have seen and learned a lot. We would do this again in no time! Especially Wadi Shab is highly recommended and the walking route up to the pool and then swimming between the rocks. This is really an experience and when you are in Oman, mort really do this!

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Oman and I would recommend it to anyone interested in visiting Wadi Shab. Our guide and driver Abdullah drove us to and from Wadi Shab and Bimmah safely and in good time, and guided us along the hike through the wadi and to the pools. It is a breath taking place and our guide helped us get ahead of the crowds so we could experience it with fewer people. The lunch in the local family home was more than sufficient and much needed after the hike. Overall, this was a fun day and a really good experience.

A must to visit. Beautiful surroundings and yet a challenge to get there. A swim at the end of the wadi is a relief.

Had the best time on this Wadi Shab tour. Got to swim all through the wadi and to the cave at the end. Once in a lifetime opportunity for sure! Our guide Mohammed Aldighaishi was super knowledgeable and did a great job telling us about the local area. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone!
