Discover the incredible oasis of Wadi Shab - one of the last places in Oman where you can chill in fresh blue water surrounded by mountains.
Start the tour with pick up from your hotel in Muscat or meeting point (depending on the selected option). Hop into an air-conditioned vehicle and set off on a 2-hour scenic drive through the otherworldly landscapes of Oman. Along the route, stop at a local coffee shop to try an energizing Omani tea. When you arrive at your destination, hidden away in the canyon of the dry river Wadi-Shab, take a very quick boat ride to the other side of the bank. From here, embark on your 40-minute hike. During the walk, experience the awesome power of nature which has forged the rock formations of this impressive canyon.
On the way back, stop to see a beautiful lake located in the Bimmah Sinkhole. Finally, return to the vehicle and begin the drive back to Muscat where you will be dropped off at your hotel or meeting point (depending on the selected option).

It was a fantastic experience. We had a great day full of adventurous. The trip was much better than we had expected. I would definitely recommend it! The meeting point was at a convenient location where we were able to leave our car for the day for free. Our guide - Mohammed Aldighaishi, was such a nice, friendly and helpful guy. He looked after our group so well, making sure everyone was safe and happy. Thanks to Mohammed we have learned a lot of interesting things about Oman. If I could add one more thing I would suggest that perhaps you could highlight there is a possibility of renting or buying the water shoes, waterproof bags and phone cases for a small amount of money at the site.

There are places where nature speaks in whispers... and there are places where it speaks directly to the heart. For me, that was Wadi Shab in Oman. Our journey began in the early hours of the morning: soft light, warm wind and the feeling that the day had something special in store for us. First, a boat through the emerald water, then a path between the rocks, where each turn turned what seemed to be a new page in ancient history. The stones shone with ochre and gold, and the water beckoned with its transparency. And that's where the real magic begins. Our instructor Dmitry is a man with solar energy and confident charisma. He has the strength of a leader: serenity, generosity of soul, inner confidence, and that royalty when you realize you can walk through a canyon, through mountains. He doesn't just lead the way -- he's inspiring. Supportive, joking, cheerful and sure to notice when you need to add courage. Swimming between rocks, diving into cool turquoise and sneaking into a hidden cave with a waterfall is not just an adventure. It's about getting back to yourself. The moment when fear dissolves and instead comes delight and childish joy. At some point, I caught myself thinking, life is like this canyon. The road seems difficult at first, but once you trust the flow, step forward, and you discover incredible beauty. If you're looking for a place where you can feel freedom, the power of nature and your own courage, here you go. And if a guide like Dmitry is around, the journey will become a story that you want to tell over and over again.

Quite physically taxing. 1 hour each way of hiking and then a lot of swimming but it was so worth it. What a beautiful place on Earth to experience. Thank you to our tour guide Mohammed Aldighaishi who was so lovely and really took care of us. I’d highly recommend this experience

From the very start, our tour guide Abdullah was absolutely fantastic. He arrived on time, clearly explained the agenda for the day, and set the tone for a smooth and enjoyable experience. Throughout the tour, he was incredibly patient and attentive, making sure everyone in the group felt comfortable and well taken care of at all times. His knowledge of the area was impressive, and he shared information in a way that was both engaging and easy to follow. On top of that, his warm personality and positive energy truly elevated the entire experience. If you’re planning a trip to Wadi Shab and Bimmah Sinkhole, I highly recommend requesting Abdullah as your guide. He was exceptional and made the day unforgettable.

The trip to Wadi Shab was excellent with Mahmood being a very good guide. At times, I felt he was aloof from the guests and we were often found alone as a group wondering where he was. Fortunately, we were all sensible adults and looked after ourselves. Wadi Shab is not for the faint hearted and is quite a trek and VERY slippery in places, so extreme care has to be taken. Our lunch stop was very poor with below standard food served. The tables were dirty and If you like a dozen cats at your feet, this is the place to come. The toilets were no better. Overall, the trip was made by getting to Wadi Shab in one piece amongst a group of fellow travellers that made the day very special. I didn't enjoy Bimmah Sinkhole so much and was glad that we were only there for 40 minutes. The toilets there were disgusting.

Wadi Shab was the best experience we had during our stay at Oman.. Our tour guide Qais ensured that we had a very smooth experience and made it enjoyable. I and my wife were no pro swimmers. Yet , Qais encouraged , Motivated and helped us complete the swim using life jackets. Will highly recommend this experience with this tour provider to everyone.
