This was an easy and fun day at the lovely Batch Winery. The hop on hop off bus was easy to use and the drivers very friendly and accommodating. Batch Winery is an extremely beautiful spot looking over the Island and back at the City. The platter was delicious and the service was great.

We loved this day trip. Batch winery was amazing, big pours of great wine & the best charcuterie board we have ever had. Unfortunately we went during off season & the island tour busses weren’t running very often. We spent a lot of our day waiting for the bus. Would be nice for the tour operator to include more info with vouchers, such as ferry times, bus info etc.

It was made evident early on, once they found out we were Wine and Dine, that we were not welcome there! We waited for 12 minutes after being seated for anyone to approach our table. We then received water. There was a large raucous group in the room we were seated in, so I asked to move tables. Excuses were given about why we couldn't. Both drinks were then delivered - though each of us received the drink the other ordered. After a while, the charcuterie board was delivered along with two petit for sixed desserts. After eating, the charcuterie bored was removed from the table and were ignored after that so we left without going a tasting or ordering anything

Excellent day out. Lunch was so much better than anticipated. Batch Winery is just beautiful Only gripe is that prices were in $US not $NZ which wasn’t noticed until payment was made

On the positive side, good value for the money, lunch was a nice charcuterie board and the bus was clean and had friendly staff. On the negative side, we were never told the meeting time (we arrived at the ferry at 9:15 am which ended up being perfect) and there were no choices for lunch.

Fabulous Ferry, Hop on Hop off bus of Waiheke island, very well organized. Bus every 20 minutes! Lunch at Batch Winery was top notch, charcuterie board, with voice of beverage (wine, beer, soft) and dessert!

This tour included the ferry from downtown Auckland to Waiheke Island (about 40 minutes), Hop on hop off bus on Waiheke, Batch Winery lunch. Enjoy the beauty and serenity of Waiheke Island using the Hop On Hop Off bus on arrival, located right at the ferry. Waiheke is very hilly so the bus was really appreciated! We used it as a tour only getting off at Oneroa village to have a drink and look at the shops and then we hopped back on and got off at the Batch Winery for our delicious lunch. We made reservations for lunch although it wasn’t busy at 2 pm when we visited! We had a fabulous experience at the beautiful Batch Winery! We enjoyed a scrumptious charcuterie platter with cheeses, meats, olives, smoked mussels, dips, fig jam, bread slices drizzled with olive oil and several types of crackers. Accompanied by our choice of wine, beer or soft drinks and a yummy little brownie for dessert! They meal was perfect and you could not want a better setting! After lunch completely satisfied we lounged on the comfortable bean bag chairs in the garden taking in the spectacular view! I highly recommend this tour!

I agree with some of the reviews, the instructions were horrible on what to do. Luckily another review explained it and that helped a great deal. The views at the Batch Winery was majestic. Waiheke Island is just beautiful. Our hop on hop off tour guide Tilly was great, we loved her.

Great value for money, especially if you want the winery experience without being super into doing the winery tours. It’s not very clear but does come with ferry tickets. Overall awesome trip!

Below are some things the operator should tell the travellers, and would have made our experience a lot better. I would have liked to have all of this information and quite clear instructions. These things are important to me; - What times are the ferries? - The fact that you can travel on any Fullers360 Waiheke ferry, but not the reserved ferries. - The hop on and off bus is called the Western Explorer. It's a green double decker bus. It's a 90 minute round trip, and there are 3 buses so they come every 30 minutes. - The Batch winery lunch is a large charcuterie (cheese, crackers, bread, dips, meat and mussels) platter and a small desert, and a glass of wine. - that lunch is available between 11am and 2:30 This info would have made the whole experience much better. This information about the trip should have been on the App or the website.
