Born and raised in Skopje, want to present my City in best of lights and in a entertaining manner. We meet at the Central Square, at the entrance of the Ristich Palace( see cover photo), just 20 meters from the Fountain.. From there, we visit the Memorial House of Mother Theresa-The Earthquake Museum-Parliament Building- City Center Monuments-Stone Bridge-The Fortress-The Old Bazaar. Before we start the Tour, we can discuss your preferred options and act upon them.

5.00Alexander spotted. us easily as we were directed to the meeting place. There were only three of us on the group. He was an interesting guy who was well traveled himself and interested in us and our questions. He didn’t really do a linear history but showed us all of the ways to move around the city center . He clarified many truths behind some common fallacies.

5.00Rita booked our trip, and Aleksandar was an outstanding guide in Skopje. He is extremely knowledgeable, insightful, and clearly loves his country, while also speaking honestly about its current direction. What I appreciated most was that he did not just point at monuments and say who they were for — he explained the stories behind them, the context, and the reasons why they matter. It made the whole tour far more meaningful and memorable. Highly recommended.

5.00This was my second time taking Aleksandr's tour. The first time was 12 months earlier, and I liked it so much I wanted my husband to experience it when he came this time with me to Skopje! Aleksandr runs a free (tip as you see fit) walking tour that is of such quality that you would be paying sizable amounts with a company or other operator. He is extremely knowledgeable about his city and about its history. He takes very good care of his walking group, making sure everyone stays together. Slowing down for older folks like us if needed. He made sure everyone understood the background and challenges of North Macedonia, giving us context and sociopolitical info. Very interestingly delivered in perfect English. I could not recommend it more strongly!

5.00We had a fantastic walking tour in Skopje with Aleksandar. He was incredibly knowledgeable, well-prepared, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and culture of the city. Even though it was just the three of us, he still gave the tour his full energy and attention, which we really appreciated. He guided us through the city center and the Old Bazaar, explaining not only the main historical points but also sharing interesting stories and local insights that made everything come alive. It felt very personal and engaging throughout. A fun and unexpected highlight was a dog named Linda who joined us and followed us the entire time like our little bodyguard. We later found out she’s actually quite famous — apparently someone featured her in a TikTok that went viral with millions of views! It added such a unique and memorable touch to the experience. Overall, we highly recommend Aleksandar — a great guide who made our time in Skopje truly special.
