Your guide: Native of the French-speaking part of Switzerland, I have been guiding Swiss-curious groups since 2020. I enjoy sharing my joy at hearing new historical anecdotes about places and their people. I can take visitors with me on those journeys in English, French or German.
English has become my natural language, after spending a few years in London, training as a theater technician and working in a cinema. I have also extensively traveled the USA.

What To Expect
Cathedrale de Lausanne
Brief visit of the interior of the Cathedral, walking around the déambulatoire, admiring the stain glass windows, the gothic architecture, and the magnificent organ designed by Giugiaro
Palais de Rumine
Crossing the Place de la Riponne, a brief explanation of the role of the building and historical events in it + today's use. Construction of the building began in September 1898 according to plans by Lyon architect Gaspard André.

5.00Get to know the city from someone who loves it. There's a lot of information about the history as well as on recent developments. You also get to see different quarters and their specific groove. Ilona is a great expert in history. She is a very nice person who cares about her audience.

She is incredibly knowledgeable and brings history to life in such an engaging and fun way. 5.00A modern, colorful and friendly city. Beautiful museums and delicious food. Public transportation great, the subway takes you up, saves a lot of climbing.

5.00This was an excellent tour. Our guide Ilona was smart, funny, and very knowledgable. She designed the tour very well, starting up near the cathedral and working our way down through the city. In Lausanne, which has a lot of up and down, this was very well conceived. We hit the highlights as well as some unique and interesting “below the radar”spots. Although Mother Nature decided to sprinkle on us for much of the tour, Ilona was good at finding sheltered spots to stand and a lovely cafe to refresh in partway through. We would highly recommend this tour to all. Cheers.
