Take a walk with Cath, a local to the area, and an experienced and qualified tourist guide around her beautiful city of Inverness. A Walk Inverness tour contains lots of local history, beautiful scenery, architecture, and romantic (yet sometimes bloody) tales which have over time, shaped Inverness into the thriving city that stands today.
In the true spirit of Outlander, find out more about the short but final confrontation of the Jacobite Rising, The Battle of Culloden in 1746, in which the fate of between 1500 Jacobites was sealed by a poor decision and a hostile terrain.
Cath will fascinate you with references to Outlander along with life in 18th-century Inverness right up to the present day. Sharing stories of clan history, folklore, and legends. Step even further back in time to 565 AD and learn about St Columba’s visit to the Highlands.

My parents and I had a great time with Cath! We did the half day tour of Culloden, Clava Cairns, and Cawdor Castle as our main sights. Cath was a very knowledgeable guide and sprinkled in her own personal stories from growing up in Inverness. I learned a lot about Inverness and the surrounding area - not just the history, but its present also. Would recommend Cath and her tours to anyone coming to Inverness!

Cath is a delightful and very knowledgeable lifelong resident of Inverness. We would have missed so much about Inverness had we not joined her walking tour.

Fabulous walking tour no steep hills or loads of step, so suitable for all abilities. Our guide Christine was engaging, funny and very knowledgeable. Nice to get the history of the place and see all of the important sites. It is only an hour and a half but it is at a steady pace. Highly recommend this for a way to learn more about the city.

Excellent tour, very informative. Note that the link to the meeting point on my iphone gave me the wrong location. Not sure where the problem originated from. The meeting place is in center of the city outside of the info center where you can get a city map.

Cath’s tour was a great way to give some context to our stay in Inverness. Her stories and local knowledge were excellent. She even wove in some information about our family clans. Highly recommend!

We were of course expecting Cath all dressed in red, so when Sandy arrived in his kilt it was a surprise. However not an unhappy one, he was excellent. He really brought historic Inverness to life for us. Excellent guide, highly recommended. He was also very considerate of my elderly mother's inability to walk at speed and always waited until the whole group was in place before telling us the next anecdote.
