  Lalibela is a beautiful countryside town and we contacted Firew for a walking tour. From the start, Firew was very professional and helped arrange accommodation and transport from the airport. The next day we started the walking tour with our guide Alex and hiked up Asheton Maryam mountain. Such a scenic hike and throughout Alex chatted to us about Ethiopia’s unique culture. We then experienced local Ethiopian culture for ourselves in the evening. We tried our hand at cooking injera (Ethiopian sour dough bread) and did a coffee ceremony. It was a lot of fun. We travelled to Ethiopia after the Covid restrictions were lifted and can’t recommend Roha Lalibela’s Walking Tour enough to anyone looking to travel post covid. These guys are switched on and will make sure you have THE best experience while keeping safe.

  We did a daily trek around Lalibela with Firew and our whole Lalibela experience got better. I came to Lalibela with only rock-hewn churches in mind but a trek around the village gives you a great perspective about the locals' daily life - all within a breath taking landscape.

  Went hiking to Asheton monastery with Alex - he was really knowledgeable and helped arrange a great evening tour. Highly recommend if you are in Lalibela!

  I did a day hike with Firew all the way up to the mountain. It was a really great experience with Firew making sure I was ok all the time. It was a nice way to discover more about life in Lalibela.

  Most professional and friendly guys you can find!!! Will give you the best service in fair price, and will do their best for you to be happy and satisfied. If you want to experience Lalibella this is your best option. Those guys are great

  I took a trip to Asheton Maryam with Roha Freetours and I had a great time. They took care of the ride to the stairway and thwn guided us up the narrow path, through stunning scenary. They spoke with the priest and helped us get inside the Monastery's every secret. They even openned the Sancta Sanctorum for us! I highly recommend to hire this tip-based young-locals to get a deep knwoledge on Lalibela as a destiny, but more importantly, to understand how Lalibelans live and think. We had a very pleasant trip with great conversation. Thanks to them we felt even more welcomed to this great place.

  I can thoroughly recommend 💯 Roha lalibela free walking tour#♥♦♠♣I am sure that my friends traveling with me also. We were really pleased by the quality of the service provided by these three young guys who are really good in what they do. They are professional, informative, choosing the perfect homestay, caring. Always on time, friendly, flexible and funny. We spent a wonderful time and They really brought a big plus to our trip. Thank You guys, good work !!!!

  great young people. They take care of their guests very much. Walking with Lalibela is a great adventure with them. They know the area. He recommends good restorations. you can feel safe.
