Tamarin Bay

Our first stop: Tamarin Bay. Keep an eye out for pods of spinner or bottlenose dolphins that stay in our western coastline waters. If you are lucky, they might be in sight, just for you to admire these beloved mammals’ acrobatics that could be the highlight of your tropical holiday.

Black River

The boat then heads to Black River, all sails hoisted. In the lagoon, a patch reef about two meters deep, harbors colorful fishes and small crustaceans. Get into your snorkeling gear and chase after butterfly fish or tease passing trumpet fish while admiring the coral outcrops spread on the white sand. Taste the saltiness of the water as you swim under the vigilant and trained eye of the crew, ready to intervene should anyone need any help.

Beautiful catamaran trip with a pleasant and attentive crew. Group reduced to 16 people including 12 French which contributed to a very nice day (actual outing: 09:30 - 15:15). Downside: we did not appreciate the vision part of dolphins because too many boats with internal combustion engines mixed with paddles, all too close to animals with the feeling of a fleet that hunts and hunts animals close in a movement of incessant rotations. Reunion Island's observation practice is much more respectful of the animal world and (my opinion) should be replicated in Mauritius. The drinks are very good with softs and punch and the meal was very good with chicken and BBQ fish. What to do

Well organised.. had lot of fun.. got to see dolphins and beautiful island with crystal clear water.. the guides were very friendly and helpful.. put good effort to provide us a great experience.. would definitely recommend oceana..

Booked through Get your guide on, comms through this booking forum was very good. Parked in tbe Street at the boat yard, got taken out to the catamaran by smaller boat. Went dolphin spotting where we did see a huge pod of dolphins, we were one of about 12 boats also doing the same thing. The crew were very polite and spoke English and French. Alcohol served after the snorkeling session which we skipped out on as the sea was rough and it was quite cold. Lunch was fish, chicken and pasta and garlic bread, not particularly gourmet but filled a gap. Alcoholic drinks served liberally with massive pours, music on the boat very loud but it was just part of the experience and wasn't too off-putting. Views are stunning. Got dropped to île aux benetiers for 1hour, had a snooze in the sun, lots of sellers on the beach but no hard sell at all, all seemed very respectful so it was a nice experience. Sails up on the cat on the way home more for the tourists rather than actually sailing as it was a run and neither Gib or mainsail poled out to actually catch the wind but it entertained the guests Overall a good experience and worthwhile doing.. Just take a jumper, it gets really cold on the boat

Very good day, there were no dolphins that day but we could see 2 sharks. The meal was excellent and the good Mood of the team allowed us to spend a great day with them. I highly recommend it.

Excellent experience on a catamaran with Oceane yesterday, the crew was super friendly and clearly loved their jobs and the vibes were awesome. We had some excellent BBQ on board, went snorkeling, saw dolphins and the Crystal Rock then relaxed a little on Isle of Benitiers. Everyone was dancing and having a fun time to some music on the way back, just loved our experience and would 100% recommend it.

It is a catamaran tour by ocean cruise (company name) covering dolphin watching, crystal rock, snorkelling and beneteirs island from 9 to 3 Pm. Ocean cruise is big company and has many catamarans. Their service is top notch and guys are professional. We were couple and catamaran can accomodate 20 persons. Buffet lunch was served and they have veg options like pasta, green salad, bread and fruits. For non veg they have fish/chicken. Overall very nice tour.

Lovely tour of the east coast. We had booked a west coast trip but it was cancelled due to the weather. Had a lovely time. Crew were really friendly and felt very safe. Lunch was lovely too. Thank you. 😊

This could have been better if the guide ps let us know what was actually going on. We had to wait at the dock for an hour before we went out to the catamaran and no one said anything! Very frustrating. I was told we’d swim at the boat after dropping us off an an island w/o any services for an hour, would not have signed up for this trip, but maybe we didn’t get the last swim in because they were running an hour late. Everyone was nice enough but not a great experience. And seeing the dolphins was great, but the boats shouldn’t chase them around!
