What To Expect
The Wet & Wild Elaho Exhilarator rafting trip is one of our most popular rafting adventures, and for good reason. Our talented team of professional river guides will teach you the skills necessary to ride big waves and catch air as you navigate down the Class 3-4 Elaho and Squamish Rivers. Your courage will be tested as you travel through the infamous “Devil’s Elbow” section of the rapids, as seen on TV’s famous Eco-Challenge Adventure Race. Depending on the water levels, you’ll also be able to swim through some small rapids and enjoy a few laughs as your crewmates scramble to stay on board. Along with some of North America’s most exhilarating rapids, your river journey will take you through approximately 10 miles of British Columbia’s most inspiring wilderness. Take time to appreciate your surroundings and enjoy the world-class scenery including old growth forests, dormant volcanoes, towering glaciers, and stunning waterfalls that cascade hundreds of feet toward the river. If you’re really lucky you’ll get a glimpse of the local deer, beavers and bears which often stop by the river’s edge.

5.00The views, raging water and serene setting absolutely delivers. The bonus is the Stellar Crew that clearly is having a blast being guides. Mila is experienced and so fun to have in your boat! These rapids are super and “exhilarating” is a great description.

5.00In the last week, my husband and I enjoyed the Elaho Exhilarator White Water Rafting Experience twice. On one visit we were with Wilson as our guide and on the second with Mila. They were both excellent guides who prioritized our safety first but also made sure we learned about the Squamish Valley and had a great time. What to expect: 1. After you arrive, the company provides wetsuits, booties, life jackets, and helmets for the rafting trip. 2. You board a school bus for a ~40 minute journey to the launch site. 3. The team unloads the rafts and sets them up in the water which takes about 15-20 minutes. 4. There is a safety/training session for ~10 minutes. 5. Then you raft! The initial rafting session is just short of an hour, but the action starts right away with rapids immediately after the launch. 6. At the end of the first segment, you reload in the bus and return to the same launch. However, on this trip, you keep going past the first segment’s pick up point and continue downstream. 7. The latter part of the second segment is less exciting but offers amazing views of the mountain ranges, waterfalls, and other scenery. This is when the guide has a chance to talk more about the valley surrounding you. 8. After you disembark, the guests and the crew help take the rafts to the bus and trailer and then take a 20 minute ride back to the base. Overall, it’s a commitment of about 5-5.5 hours from arrival to departure, but it’s worth the time. I would highly recommend it!

5.00Fantastic experience! It was our first time rafting but the team made us feel so at ease and comfortable the whole way through. They made it so enjoyable, it was one of the highlights of our trip to Canada and would definitely recommend it. The scenery was stunning! Leela was our lead for the day and she made everything so fun, Alex our boat guide was brilliant and the rest of the team made it such a fun environment. If you're on the fence definitely go for it!

5.00We had never rafted before, so undertook this trip with a bit of trepidation. However, when Paige picked us up from the Gateway Loop in Whistler, she soon put us at ease with her ready conversation style, information about Whistler and confident driving. All the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very keen on their sport, with the whole operation being run very smoothly. Ella drove us expertly in the old school bus laden with rafts. The normal trip had been curtailed due to a washout making the road impassable, but the team improvised with an extra shoot down the higher rapids. Fletcher, our rafting guide, was excellent. Knowledgeable and confident in his craft, as well as keen to impart local information about mountains, glaciers, waterfalls, legends and the scenery around. We had an exciting ride through the rapids, did a few 360° turns and, in the calmer flow, some of our group jumped in for a very fresh dip! We very much enjoyed our trip and thank everyone for their part in making it a success

5.00This was a great day: We were picked up punctually in Whistler village and driven to the base (30 mins.. ish), where we were divided into four boats of 6 - 8 people, kitted out (wet suits, booties, wetsuit jacket and helmet) and given the safety training/ briefing. We piled into a US school bus and headed up river (c20 mins), where we hit the rapids straight away. The instructors' enthusiasm helped get everyone going and they even had some decent jokes. At the bottom of the rapids, we returned to the bus, headed back up to the top and after a hot chocolate & cereal bar, did it all again. On the way we saw eagles, spawning salmon and other birds of prey. The rafting was reasonably challenging - you get pretty wet (though the wetsuits keep you perfectly warm) and thrown about in the bigger rapids. The instructors are highly competent, so it all went smoothly, plus the scenery is spectacular. This was probably the highlight among several really excellent activities we did in Whistler.

5.00Picked up in Whistler and driven to the rafting centre which has washrooms and changing facilities then driven up river for 2 and a half hours of exhilarating white water fun and laughter. Beautiful scenery absolutely stunning. Entertaining guides (thank you Frankie from Catalunya) and a couple of very amusing challenges (optional) along the way. Midway stop for iced tea and a protein bar in another beautiful spot and another stop off for a swim added to the experience. Some people on the tour not able to swim but wasn’t a problem. All in all an excellent afternoon!
