The Jetty Dive FAST Boat Ride out means we usually see whales only minutes after leaving the harbour. If we see whales in the distance jumping, we can move from one group to another in a very short time, and not miss any action. The one and a half hour trip is mostly spent watching whales, not getting there. It is not just a Whale Watch trip, it is a fun adventure boat ride too!
Mega Wild is Jetty Dive Centre's custom built Whale Watching Boat! Designed for maximum views and comfort, Mega Wild is Fast and stable. It has a fully covered cabin and an exceptionally dry smooth ride. Motors are super quiet when idling along with the Whales – not disrupting them or scaring them away! We get to the Whales quickly… spending less time getting there means more time for that amazing close-up Whale Watch experience!
If we see some Whale jumping action elsewhere, we have the ability to be onto the action very quickly.
Be prepared for a fun finale in the harbour on the journey home too!

What To Expect
We have a "Whale Spotter" situated at a nearby lookout, who notifies us where to find the whales. Then our boat makes it's way out to those whales! We stay and watch if the whales are performing, if they are quiet we will make our way to the next pod. The fast boat allows us to move from pod to pod quickly, giving you the most time with the Whales! Our Whale Watch trips at Coffs Harbour operate daily from June to October. The Migrating Humpback Whales play in the shallow waters off the Coffs Harbour coastline on their travels north and again on their return trip south. Our fast boat ride means we usually see whales only minutes after leaving the harbour, and if they’re in the distance jumping, we can get to them FAST. Don’t miss out on the action with slow boat rides. It’s not just a Whale Watch Trip, but an adventure boat ride, too. All ages from babies (nursed on your lap) to people in their 90’s! 5.00Being locals, we decided on a stay-cation and finally ticked this off our list! We knew the whales were still around (late September 2025), but of course, they’re wild animals so there’s never a guarantee. What really sold us (family of four) was the promise that if we didn’t see a whale, we could come back another time. We were so lucky to see two and one even breached right in front of us! The crew were fantastic, not only making the trip enjoyable but also sharing their knowledge about all kinds of marine life. The sea was rough, but the boat handled it beautifully - so smooth compared to our own boat which usually slams down on waves. It was also very spacious, giving everyone a great view of the whales. We 100% recommend this experience and will definitely be back next season. Thanks again to the crew!

5.00My mum as a walker and a bad back. they accommodated for her amazingly Helped her to her seat and let her pick the seat too, tied up her walker on the boat too, was very patient with her! The tour was great, they went looking for active whales and we found them Great vessel, great crew Thanks so much Would use you again in a heat beat

5.00BEST whale watching experience ever, and we’ve done a few! The humpbacks really delivered with an amazing show of breaching and showing off their calves. Jetty Dive crew did a great job getting us to the whales each time they were spotted and before they disappeared. Powerful boat helped! A must do if you’re in Coffs in the right season.

4.00The process of booking was easy online. The crew on the day were really excellent and the boat was ideal for whale watching. The only reason I haven’t given the tour 5 stars is because it was unfortunate that on the day we went out the whales weren’t breaching so we only saw parts of them as they came to the surface. This was just luck of the draw and does not reflect on the crew or the company who did an outstanding job.

5.00Had a phenomenal time with Jerry Dive. Information was very clear, the team were great at their jobs (and hilarious). We saw a lot of whales, and the team provided a good mix of letting people enjoy looking at the whales, and giving some information and fun facts when the whales went quiet for a few minutes. Highly recommend!
