This is no worse than any other Mirissa whale tour - the crew were nice, safety seemed to be a priority and they tried hard to find us our whale, but all the tourist boats are noisy and belching smoke, and there are just too many of them all chasing the same poor whale - no wonder we had only a fleeting glimpse before it dived not to be seen again. The seas are big here, so many of our co-passengers were unwell, which didn’t add to our comfort. If this is your only opportunity to see a whale, then do this, but frankly there are better places to go whale watching than Mirissa.

I had a very good time with whale watching eagle eye. Boarding and Instruction during the cruise were well structered. A tasty breakdast sandwich and snacks are offered. The Boat was clean and in good shape as well the washroom. After spotting some finnwhales and observing them a few times, the boat headed back to the shore, to not chase and disturbe the whales to much. I really appreciate/support this ethics in tourism!

Truly we didn't know what to expect till Hirusha came on the scene. His briefing and knowledge put us at ease. We & some friends we made from Australia & the UK were spell bound getting the opportunities to see sightings around 4 times. It was profoundly graceful to see whales & dolphins in their natural habitat. Sense of direction was amazing. It was definitely a priceless experience & would highly recommend anyone to give these guys a good go. Worth every penny. Life is short, Art is long. Enjoy life. Love 😘 from Melbourne, The McGowans.

It’s a good idea to get to the boat early just after six for a 7 o’clock start to get some goodseats A snack sandwich was provided on the way out and we were so lucky to see a blue whale and some pilot whales. The experience was sensational. The crew were very nice good English spoken and the whole experience was well worth it

Amazing whale watching experience! We were lucky enough to see both a whale and dolphins, which made the experience truly unforgettable. The crew was friendly and professional, and they took good care of everyone on board. They also provided breakfast and water, which was a really nice touch and much appreciated. Everything was well organized and respectful of the animals. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!

Avoid this company. What was sold as a whale watching trip turned into a complete mess. The boat was overcrowded, with roughly one life vest for every three people. It was loud, chaotic, and they blasted music the entire time - which is hardly ideal when you’re meant to be quietly spotting wildlife. There was no clear system or method to finding whales. I wasn’t expecting NASA-level tech, but there was literally no plan at all. They just followed other boats around. No explanations, no guidance, no insight. To make it worse, there was no PA or microphone, so even when the crew tried to say something, most people couldn’t hear it. After very little effort, they decided that was “enough” and headed back to the harbour. We saw 1 fin whale for 3 seconds. A reminder that Mirissa is widely recognised as one of the best places in the world to see Humpback whales, sperm whales and blue whales. The whole thing felt disorganised, careless, and honestly unsafe. If I wasn’t flying out tonight, I’d be staying here to demand a refund. Don’t waste your time or money.

We had a truly amazing experience with Eagle eye Whale Watching. From start to finish, everything was very well organised and professional. The team prioritised safety at all times and made sure everyone was comfortable. They provided snacks, motion sickness medication was available on request, and took great care of all passengers throughout the journey. The explanations about whales and dolphins were clear, informative, and easy to understand, which made the experience even more special. What really stood out was their dedication ,they sailed exactly to where the whales and dolphins were, no matter how long it took. Even after 3-4 hours at sea, the crew stayed patient, committed, and positive so that everyone could enjoy the sighting. The staff were extremely helpful, kind, and supportive. A special thank you to Hirusha, who was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly, and made us feel safe and welcome throughout the trip. The boat departed on time ,7am as scheduled, the snacks were good, drinking water provided and the whole team worked together seamlessly. You can clearly see how experienced and passionate they are about what they do. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a safe, well organised, and unforgettable whale watching experience. We’re so glad we chose Eagle Whale Watching!

• Excellent whale watching experience from start to finish • Professional, punctual, and well-organised team • Clear briefing before departure. Safety handled well • Boat was clean, stable, and not overcrowded • Crew knew exactly where to go. We spotted whales within a reasonable time • Maintained respectful distance from the whales. No chasing or noise • Guides explained whale behavior clearly and answered questions • Overall experience felt ethical, calm, and memorable Highly recommend this operator if you want a responsible and well-run whale watching trip. Worth the money and time.

Waste of money and time. 2 Jan 2026 I travelled with my family of 8. We spent about 5 hours on the boat and all we saw were dolphins and two turtles. We had an extremely early start and were required to be at the harbor at 5:30 am just to secure seats together, yet the boat only departed at 6:45 am. We returned around 12:00 pm, making it a very long and exhausting trip. The majority of people on board were sleeping most of the time. My family only woke up when the crew announced dolphins. After being on the boat for so long, three of us became sea sick, which made the experience even worse. They should not call this whale watching, it’s more like dolphin watching. Overall, very disappointing and not worth the time or money
