What To Expect
Wieliczka Salt Mine
The Wieliczka Salt Mine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, stands as one of Poland’s most cherished cultural treasures. Each year, over a million visitors from around the globe explore the mine to admire its stunning carvings and intricate reliefs. Salt was continuously extracted from this mine from the 13th century until 1996. The tourist path descends to 135 meters and spans 3.5 kilometers. The approximately 2-hour walking tour takes you through various attractions, including numerous salt sculptures, chandeliers, and a remarkable cathedral. Throughout the tour, the guide will highlight the original tools and equipment used by miners and share insights into the daily lives of the Wieliczka miners as they worked deep beneath the surface.

5.00Krakvel transfers and tours are a great company to book with. We booked a last minute trip after having a cancelled tour by a different provider and they were amazing and so helpful, especially our driver Peter who was lovely and made the journey special would definitely book with them again!

5.00Booked salt mines tour and Auschwitz -Birkenau with @KRAKVEL transfers and tours it was easy to book via watsapp and they kept me updated with pick up times at my hotel, my driver for the saltmines was Peter and he was so nice he gave us a history tour on the way to and from the mines. For Auschwitz we were picked up early in the morning and joined a bigger tour bus that took us to both camps, our tour guide was the same for Auschwitz and Birkenau and was so nice and knowledgable. I would highly recommend Krakvel transfers and tours as other companies are letting people down by cancelling last minute.
