This tour is listed in TripAdvisor under "Bus Tours" and thats what we thought we were getting. The walking tour was great and, although we had two people awaiting knee replacement surgery, they were able to make it through it okay. Max Goodman, our guide, was very helpful in taking sit down breaks at convenient stops.

Max did a great job with the history and had a passion for education! The locations were difficult to imagine along with the history, which speaks to the lack of recognition given to this historical event.

We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour. After reading a lot about the Wilmington coup and massacre, it was a rich experience to have this history brought to life.

Extremely informative history that MUST be shared, especially in a moment like ours, this is extra important to get this history out in the open. Max did a great job and was very passionate about the history he was sharing. His is the time to make this history well known, so we were very happy that it was shared. Please don't stop this tour!

Max was a very good guide, informative and entertaining. Need to supply visitors with head sets so that you can hear the guide no matter how close you are to them.

We got back late. The tour guide engaged with a mentally ill homeless man which was very uncomfortable

Enlightening, bring water. I had already read The Wilmington Lie, so I knew the history. To walk the same streets while listening to the history was overwhelming.

Very informative, appreciated the rest stops, would love to know more about the Wilmington black community in the late 1800s early 1900s. As a black woman, I never know enough about my people. Thank you very much to the young gentleman who was from Italy. Can’t remember his name, but my family greatly appreciates him.
