We go hiking in a small group, sometimes privately over the Zaanse Schans. I am a certified Guide and will give you a lot of information about the highlights. The walk will show you the Albert Heijn museum shop, the clog factory and the cheese factory, and we will taste cheese and of course to the windmills, entrance not included.

What To Expect

Zaanse Schans

I will meet you at the Juliana Bridge. There is a spectacular view of the windmills immediately. I will show you the Albert Heijn museum shop, the clog maker, the cheese maker and the windmills of the Zaanse Schans.

I'm going in with you. We start in the small museum and you will make a demonstration clogs. Then the opportunity to fit and buy clogs.

Absolutely wonderful. Diana was super friendly and knowledgeable. My wife, daughter and I were the only tourists on this spectacular morning tour. I suspect that it's a wise move to book early in the day (before the tour buses arrive. We had a truly wonderful experience.

We had a wonderful tour with Diana, she was very helpful from the moment we booked, providing information to assist us to catch the train to meet her. On the day Diana met us at the train station and provided information along the way to help us to find our way back. Having grown up in the area Diana had both passion and local knowledge to share throughout the tour. She also ensured that we received a wooden shoe and cheese making demonstration and that we had time for photos and shopping if we desired. We recommend this tour to anyone who likes a more personal experience.

Diana is an absolutely fabulous guide. She is certified, knowledgeable, and grew up in the area and lives the town. She shared so much information; we kinda felt bad for the people in the other large tour groups.

Diana went above and beyond. She gave us detailed directions on how to catch the train to Zaandijk Zaanse Schans. She met us at the station and gave us an in depth tour of the Windmill Village. Diana took us places and gave us insights which we would not have been privy to had we have been in a larger group. She was very generous with her time and allowed us to take as many photo’s as we wanted. Diana is local to the area meaning her knowledge is second to none. She gave a recommendation to try the mustard soup in one of the restaurants, and it didn’t disappoint! We can highly recommend Diana if you are considering a tour of the Windmill Village.

Met Diana on the train platform. She informed me that I was the only person booked on the tour. I was so Happy that she did not cancel the tour due to lack of bookings. So welcoming and informative. Let me know of all the great food and coffee shops close by (definitely visited a few after the tour ended). Every tour stop we made, she had a smile and hello for everyone we came by. Never felt rushed to move onto the next stop. 100% would recommend to anyone. WOW

Wow! What a great experience and highlight of our trip to Amsterdam! Diana is so knowledgeable and got us into all the stops without lines. She also has a lot of interesting facts that you would never know just walking around on your own. Well worth the money spent. Our family loved it!!
