We set off to the highest mountain in Armenia – Aragats. Along the way, we will be accompanied by breathtaking landscapes.
We will make a stop at the Amberd Fortress at an altitude of 2300 meters. You will see stone structures, including a 7th-century castle and an 11th-century church. As you stroll around, you will appreciate not only the ancient architecture but also the surrounding mountain expanses.
Next, we arrive at the southern slope of Aragats, at the Byurakan Observatory. You will visit the interior and be able to view stars, planets, and other celestial bodies through powerful telescopes. Our astronomer guides will answer all your questions.
If desired, the itinerary can include a stop at one of the local gastro yards or wineries, where you will learn about grape cultivation and wine production from local experts, and also taste different varieties.
