Grassy sun kissed vineyards paint the land gold on either side of you as you enter Areni, a real-life painting waiting for you in Armenia’s south. Home to the world’s oldest known winery, the 6,000-year-old Areni-1 Cave, the earth here tells Armenia’s ancient tale of winemaking. To this day, this region produces wines made from grapes that have been growing here – and only here – for thousands of years. Dine among the grapevines of our hosts’ vineyard, sipping on local wines and enjoying a 3-course meal prepared with local, seasonal ingredients.

We had the most incredible day at Areni. We were celebrating a very special event for our family, in total we were 9 people. The bus driver Artyom is the absolute best. Kind, gentle, responsible. The car had cold water in the cooler, charging ports, AC. The ride took about 1.5 hours. We had appetizers (to die for) with cold wine. We walked down to our gorgeous set up - straight from a fairy tale. Surrounded by the mountains we ate the most delicious tolma, fish, salads and a wonderful selection of cheeses (fruits, veggies etc). 3 children around 8 years old had the time of their lives running around. The hosts are wonderful, the wine is delicious. The apricots - oh, the apricots! If you’re looking for a unique, intimate and special getaway with your loved ones in comfort and beauty, this is the thing to book. Everything was organized and confirmed. The team was always in touch with me to make sure everything is set / going well. Thankful that this exists.
