We had a great day on this tour! Everything was great and our tour guides were very helpful. They were flexible and allowed us to climb around and explore within the cave, which was also fun. The meal was good too - great day for all ages.

This was the final excursion of our two-week trip to Belize. There is a lot of walking and climbing to see the Xunantunich site, but the ruins and panoramic are worth it! The site is large; pay $1 to take the truck from the main gate. After a long walk in the jungle you can relax for a 90-minute drive to the tubing location and anticipate a refreshing float in the river. Only my husband and I were with the driver/guide all day. It was great because we weren’t rushed. We had a typical Belizean chicken-rice-beans lunch at the site where all the groups come for cave-tubing. Our guide Pedro was very patient and kindly carried my tube for the 35-minute walk to the cave. The river was quite low in May, so the guide spent as much time walking in the river as floating. At one point we left our tubes and walked for a bit around the cave. It’s fine to take your phone and take photos. I recommend bringing a snack.
