What To Expect
Yala National Park
This is the country’s second largest and most famous National park for locals and foreigners alike. Situated on the south-East coast of Sri Land it has an area of over 375 square miles. It is made up of five blocks of which two are open to visitors. The Ruhuna national Park and the Kumana bird sanctuary.These two parks are most important for conservation . It has a variety of eco systems ranging from moist monsoon forest to scrub jungle, fresh water wetlands ,and saltwater lagoon and marshlands. It is well stocked with a variety of wild life and is an important conservatory for Elephants ,leopards and Birds. It is known as the area with the highest density of leopard population in the world. Visitors can take a safari trip in the park which is an unforgettable experience. Within the park there are ancient monasteries ,which add to the parks attractions.

5.00I had the absolute pleasure of having Shehara as our tour guide for our family trip to Sri Lanka and honestly, it was a 100/10 experience. Even before we landed, he went above and beyond—helping with hotel bookings, sharing restaurant recommendations and planning our entire itinerary. He broke everything down clearly, including costs, travel times and what would best suit my family. I was traveling with a 4-year-old and a tween and he really took that into consideration, which made a huge difference. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel taken care of. He picked us up, made sure we were fed and hydrated before our 1.5-hour drive and just handled everything so smoothly. It was honestly such a relief. Having someone so experienced, kind and honest take care of the planning allowed me to fully relax, feel safe and truly enjoy my family vacation. I would definitely make the trip to Sri Lanka again and I 100% recommend Shehara to anyone considering it. Thank you so much, sir!

5.00Shehara collected us from the airport when we arrived in Colombo after our flight from the UAE. He was right on time and gave us the warmest welcome. Although I’ve visited Sri Lanka a couple of times before, it was especially reassuring and enjoyable to be met by someone local who is so friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He was also incredibly kind and patient with my 3-year-old son, which we really appreciated. We stayed at the Taj in Bentota for the week and used Shehara’s services for several trips around the local area. We didn’t travel too far as we weren’t there for long and wanted to spend as much time as possible with friends we hadn’t seen in a while. Even so, everything was easy and nothing was ever a problem; transport was always available whenever we needed it, whether in his car or by tuk-tuk, at any time of day. My son especially loved the tuk-tuk rides to the turtle sanctuary and the temple! We were sad to leave Sri Lanka as it truly is such a beautiful place, but we will definitely return. When we do, we’ll be calling on Shehara again for a safe, welcoming and stress-free visit. I’ve already recommended him to a friend who will be travelling later this year.
