Had a great food tour with Mike. He did a great job, We ate a variety of food and he explained each dish to us. Told us all about the night market and the stalls we went to. It was a great tour and I would highly recommend it.

We did both the Night Market Tour (with Tina) and the Iconic Food Tour (with Jean). Both were excellent experiences and Tina and Jean are expert guides that have a lot of knowledge and put you at complete ease in otherwise unfamiliar surroundings. The Yasan Night Market isn’t the typical setup but that actually made for a more authentic experience as it’s not overwhelmed with other tourists. Highlights were the sticky-rice sausage, sweet potato puffs and the oyster omelet. In addition to the dishes we tried (which were plentiful), Tina had some great recommendations. The Iconic Tour was just as good, if not better. There was no overlap with the Night Market Tour so made complete sense to do both. It was also in the daylight so you could appreciate some of your surroundings as well as the delicious food. It starts with a walk through one of the nicest street markets I’ve been through and ends with a delicious sweet treat. The betel nut was an experience, as was the stinky tofu! Overall, these tours were excellent value and professionally operated, they come highly recommended for the adventurous foodie.

An absolutely great night market tour. We discovered flavors and dishes that we probably wouldn't have tried at first glance. Everything was really very good. And our guides Tina and Mick were adorable. For 2 hours we felt like locals in Taipei 🥰 Thanks a lot. 谢谢

The Yansan night market tour was very enjoyable. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable – the right balance of encouraging us to be adventurous and taking peoples preferences into account (and also had some good recommendations for food in vietnam, where we were headed next). We tried food we wouldn't have tried otherwise, in a market we probably wouldn't have seen on our own given our limited time in Taipei. Wandering (well, being gently shepherded) from stall to shop to stall, in good company with a beer in hand on a humid evening. Great.

I enjoyed and would highly recommend this tour. Tasted loads of different foods that I would not have otherwise tried. All the food seemed to have been prepared with care and to a high standard. They have chosen and selected well. I went hungry and was well fed by the end.

This is a fantastic introduction to the variety of foods available in a Taiwanese night market! Yansan Night Market is a great location - it's a true old school night market. There aren't touts or cheap souvenirs or carnival games here, just good foods that have been here for generations. The food choices are well thought out and range from "everyday foods" (rice sausage) to "exotic gross out" (cow penis). There were seven stops, so make sure to pace yourself! Despite being born in the US to Taiwanese parents, and having visited Taiwan several times before, there were still many foods new to me and never would've thought to try. Ann was a fun and wonderful guide - her culinary background really enhanced the experience with detailed descriptions of how the foods were made and also why they were popular. She also had relationships with many vendors that ensured prompt service even when many of them were very busy. This is also a small group experience (limit 4), and in my case it was essentially a private tour as the tour is run even if there is only 1 booking. This is a great way to spend an early evening! Recommended!

The tastings are really amazing. A must do! I've been to Taipei many times for business and this is the first time I've had some free time. After doing some research and debating what tour to do. I'm so glad I made time for this tour! Starting at a local market and ending at the most quaint little sorbet shop, the entire tour was amazing. I've walked by some of the restaurants that we went to and never knew they had such fantastic foods at these little mom and pop shops. Taipei Eats must have spend ton of time on research.

Amazing experience. This tour is packed with foods I've never even seen or heard of. Which says a lot since I'm a Taiwanese-American. My favorite food was the savory tangyuan and Taiwanese spring rolls. The guide was explained each tasting and the history of each dish, offering great insight and meaning behind what we were eating. Besides the hidden gems, a huge benefit was when we went to the savory tangyuan there was a HUGE line and luckily being in our group, we got preferential seating and got seated almost right away.
