Greet the morning sun as you take flight over the Yarra Valley and its vineyards on a Yarra Valley hot air balloon flight. You'll fly for approximately one hour before completing the memorable experience of ballooning in the Yarra Valley with an optional sumptuous buffet breakfast at Balgownie Estate.

What To Expect
Meet at Balgownie Estate or arrange a pickup from the CBD as a part of your package. Depart from Balgownie Estate via the Global Ballooning bus to one of the many launch sites - wind dependent. Assist in the setup of the balloon. Up in the sky for approx. 1hr - you will fly over Yarra Valley and surrounds, however it is fully dependent on the wind direction. Every flight is unique! Land and assist with pack down. You'll be driven to Balgownie Estate where breakfast is held (if included in your package) Your pilot will post your flight photos straight to the Global Ballooning app - ready to download and show off! Plus, take home a luxe magnet souvenir so your ballooning memories stick around long after you land.

5.00Amazing Morning! After dodging potential storms we got the word at 4am we were a go. From the moment we arrived, helping with the launch, the team safety, everything was very professional. Then we took off. It was amazing. Patio, our pilot showed us two sunrises and one sunset with the altitude of the balloon. Sunrise was beautiful! Can’t say enough. Then came the landing- smooth as can be. Packing went fast and then back for a great buffet breakfast. Every morning should be like this. Thanks Pato and team!!

5.00A wonderful experience over the beautiful Yarra Valley. A very experienced and professional team organised the day and everything was perfect. The team were also very friendly and cheerful, very good given that these tours start very early. Nicky and Quinn were the transport crew and the pilot was Kevin? Apologies if name wrong but he was very experienced and highly qualified. Breakfast after was again very good and welcome. A “must” experience for all ages.

5.00My daughter and I choose the Yarra Valley flight on Monday 9/2/26. Our pilot was Eddie and ground crew was Nick - they were professional, well organised, and engaging that made us feel very welcome, safe and comfortable. Despite cloudy conditions we were treated to spectacular views below, in and stunning sunshine above the clouds. Being able to be ‘hands on’ helping with set up/pack up added to the overall excellent experience. Would highly recommend the Yarra Valley experience and Eddie, Nick and the team at Global Ballooning. Thanks again. Marty and Caitlin.
