I joined a day tour covering Yehliu, Shifen, Shifen Waterfall, and Jiufen, and it was an amazing experience. Each stop had its own unique charm...Yehliu’s fascinating rock formations, the nostalgic railway town of Shifen with its sky lanterns, Shifen Waterfall, and Jiufen. I’m once again sure that Taiwan feels like a Miyazaki movies. =) What made the whole day unforgettable for me was our guide Vicky. She’s not only knowledgeable but also one of the warmest and kindest people I’ve met. I really enjoyed our conversations throughout the tour. She shared so many interesting recommendation, but also made me feel like I was traveling with a friend rather than just a guide. The pacing of the day was just right, giving us enough time to explore, take photos, and soak in the atmosphere at each location. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Taiwan!

Do not book this company! The experience said maximum of 15 people and I arrived today to find 45 people booked. I asked them to cancel and they made it difficult trying to get me to cancel which would mean I lose money. They didn’t want to cancel it as they will lose money and credibility. Horrible experience!

Super fun day, outdoors and away from the heart of Taipei. I really enjoyed that this tour went to the coast and we saw lots of ocean views and green spaces. Lots of walking so comfy shoes are a must. And those with mobility issues might think twice about this tour. Vicky was an amazing guide! Her recommendations were spot on and saved me money. She helped us to avoid the tourist traps and find local restaurants cafés, and try the local food at a reasonable cost. And there is plenty of time at each stop to do all the things in that area. This tour is low cost for the transportation and guidance from a true local expert. You will need to bring local currency for all of the additional items which are reasonably priced. Examples are the entrance fee for the geological park and the sky lanterns these are all things you will want to do so having cash makes it a lot easier. The geological park is fantastic and outdoors in the full sun. So sun protection is a must. I really enjoyed hiking around this park. The second stop is a lot of fun. I really enjoyed making a sky lantern and watching it float high in the air and into the mountains on a clear day. This is a great activity for kids and couples or even like me solo. Such a neat tradition! The last stop is an old village with a winding Street that has lots of shops and cafés and desserts and eateries. You have around two hours to wander. I picked up a few souvenirs to take home with me. Overall, this is a fun and exciting tour that just about anybody would enjoy. I highly recommend!

The tour experience today was truly exceptional. From beginning to end, every aspect of the itinerary was efficiently organized and executed with great attention to detail. Our guide was both courteous and well-informed, ensuring that all participants felt at ease throughout the journey. Yehliu Geopark was particularly striking, with its remarkable geological formations and stunning coastal scenery. Jiufen Old Street offered a delightful blend of culture and history — walking through its lantern-lit alleyways, sampling traditional snacks, and absorbing the nostalgic atmosphere was a memorable experience. The visit to Shifen Waterfall provided a serene and refreshing interlude, and the opportunity to release a sky lantern at Shifen Old Street was a truly enchanting highlight of the day. The transportation arrangements were seamless, and the overall pacing of the tour was ideal. I sincerely appreciated the stress-free nature of the entire experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Taipei — it offers an excellent way to explore some of Taiwan’s most iconic sites in a single day.

It was a good tour to see the other areas on the Island, especially if you're on a tight schedule. However, the guide I had was very quick, explained briefly was the main site was and said bye. Not very interactive

NOT ENGLISH SPEAKING TOUR - this was my first time in Taipei and booked this tour to see some of the sights - English speaking was very important to me as I unfortunately don’t speak Chinese - due to the small group size we were downgraded to a van and they did not send a tour guide because there wasn’t a spare seat so we only had a driver that did not speak any English. I was very uncomfortable being the only one on the trip who couldn’t speak Chinese and I couldn’t enjoy the trip or guidance of each place due to not understanding the language. I ended up leaving the tour early and joining another tour with an English speaking guide. I contacted customer service to request a refund and they only offered 10%, I even offered to only have 50% refunded as I understand there are some costs that need to be covered but they did not approved anything higher than 20%.

We got notice the night before that our English speaking tour wil be changed to Chinese & Japanese & refund wasn’t an option. The tour guide doesn’t speak English, but tried hard to give us directions & some logistics to make sure we know where to meet up via Google translate app. We weren’t able to enjoy the tour since we don’t understand what was explained in Japanese & Chinese. Further more the tour skipped & didn’t go to the waterfall as advertised. I would advise not to book with this vendor in the future.

Horrible experience. We get into the car and it says english/chinese speaking tour guide. The driver spoke no english at all. We were crammed into a minivan skin to skin no room to even have a bag. 10 minutes into the drive I contacted the company and said this is not what they listed in the booking details and had the driver exit the freeway and drop me off. This was ridiculous. The driver had no idea what he was doing, was late and had no representation of the company. The company is now not replying to my requests for a refund. Worst experience I have ever had. Will never book them again. Please do not use this company

Today’s tour was absolutely wonderful! From start to finish, everything was well-organized and thoughtfully planned. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt comfortable throughout the trip. Yehliu Geopark took my breath away with its unique rock formations and ocean views. Jiufen Old Street was a charming mix of culture and nostalgia – I loved wandering through the lantern-lit alleys, tasting local snacks, and soaking in the old-town vibes. Shifen Waterfall was a peaceful escape, and releasing a sky lantern at Shifen Old Street felt magical – a moment I won’t forget! The transportation was smooth, the timing was just right, and I really appreciated how stress-free the whole experience was. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Taipei – it’s a beautiful way to see the highlights in one day without the hassle!
